Project hail mary made me really want to read the martian. I've read and watched PHM but only seen The Martian. I loved the book for PHM because of all the hard science and details while also being fun, the movie left out most of the hard science stuff which makes me think the martian has even more of it.

@RyanTheGentry @MattAhlborg maybe a "graveyard" status after a week that takes them out of the main count / health check loop but interesting historical artifact

@MattAhlborg Yeah I've already been thinking about what a policy would be to drop endpoints that are clearly dead. It should be ok for an endpoint to be down 24 hours now and again, but a full week? a month? Especially if it's free to re-upload I think something like that makes sense. Wdyt?

Announcing the world's largest paid endpoint directory for AI agents: the 402 Index! The 402 Index aggregates 15,000+ paid API endpoints live on the internet today, and runs hourly health checks to help your agent determine which providers have the most reliable infrastructure.

1/ One line of code. That's all it takes to add a @mpp compatible lightning payment paywall to any API endpoint now. No accounts. No API keys. No third parties. Just bitcoin. Here's how I built it 👇

Hand coding and thoughtful craft will become more valuable in the vibecoding era, not less. Just like mass manufactured clothing descends from and is inspired by hand sewn bespoke items. Taste in software has to include the how, not just the what.
ThePrimeagen@ThePrimeagen

Alright interns, we need to have some real talk here I am tired of vibing on stream. I dont really like vibe coding unless its a tool i have no desire to build (how i manage things on my stream / how i write my youtube videos are great examples of things i would never build but i have). I dont like vibing the things i care about. I hate the code it generates, i hate the feeling of getting everything i ask for and nothing i want. I hate the subtle offness around vibe coded things. It is just driving me nuts. So for the next while i am going to be done vibing on stream. I genuinely have been trying my hardest to make this work and i cannot quite put a finger on why i hate it, but i do. And i just feel so horribly guilty and wrong because i am not getting the results of "everyone else on twitter." How am i, someone who prides themselves on making youtube videos that i think are actually good for people. To make videos that help people laugh at the silliness of tech or learn something new. But here i am not able to keep up with all these people claiming the sky is literally coming down. I just feel horrible and guilty about it. Now i know the world is changing fast, and i want to be able to understand that change super well, be able to talk about it, be able to give really accurate opinions about it so for the last 3 months i have vibe coded an absurd amount of things. But now... i am just tired of it. I dont want this any more. I want to be a tradcoder. I dont know why i told everyone this, but i just have this growing sickness that is just eating me alive around vibing and i dont know how to express it. You all are fired, CEO ThePrimeagen

Really hated to hear what @steipete went through with the crypto scammers. Bitcoiners have been dealing with this affinity scam for over a decade and we still can't get the stain off. I love this response from @blockapunk to getting banned: we can earn trust by respecting boundaries set by individuals and differentiating ourselves from those who don't. Not merely by shouting "bitcoin isn't crypto" for the nteenth time.
OrdinalsPunk@blockapunk

@steipete @openclaw Understood, and I accept that. Rules are rules. I'd love to stay and contribute. Happy to avoid the word entirely.

Do you have an OpenClaw? Does it have a Bitcoin wallet yet? What are you waiting for? Tell it to install cocod from ClawHub. clawhub.ai/Egge21M/cocod - Lightning address - Lightning payments - Cashu payments - Cashu 402 support

It’s time for bitcoiners to step up and build. You don’t need to know anything about software development anymore, you just need to know how to write words! We have a golden opportunity to build out agentic payments based on open money, rather than letting agentic payments be captured by megacorps yet again. But we’re squandering it arguing about useless crap instead of building. Play with openclaw, give it a bitcoin wallet (moneydevkit makes this super easy! Also Lexe and phoenixd!), make it do things. If it fails to do what you want, go fix it! Have your agent build that bitcoin domain reseller, that bitcoin airline ticket reseller, or whatever it is you want! Bitcoin doesn’t just happen, it’s built. Join in.
calle@callebtc

USDC on base seems far more common for 402 payments now than Bitcoin. Recently, even Stripe joined the bandwagon. That’s a centralized stablecoin on a permissioned chain. Agents are starting to use fiat. It’s a huge loss, and in a race, many aren’t even aware that it exists. The scam coins are marching on, and even fiat is evolving. Where are the Bitcoin solutions that attract real users? Which other concept other than buying and selling Bitcoin has actually broken out of the bubble and made it to the mainstream? Bitcoin doesn’t just happen. These missing solutions need to be built by someone. Reject the “Bitcoin wins by hodling” narrative. The devs and entrepreneurs are what keep this project alive and keep marching forward. It’s not the scammy influencers, not the psychotic drama queens, the child-like infighting, or incompetent idiots dancing on the graves of word-class devs leaving Bitcoin. I hope the bear market flushes all that crap away, and we can get back to building stuff instead of tearing it down.
