Earlier people were talking about a worst case option, nukes being used to destroy Iran’s 460 kg of enriched uranium, enough for around 11 warheads. But another path might be forming. Instead of hitting the uranium directly, the pressure point could be Kharg Island, the place where about 90% of Iran’s oil exports leave. Basically Iran’s economic lifeline. Control the island and the message becomes simple. You want your oil exports back? Hand over the 460 kg of uranium. Suddenly the war turns into a tense bargaining game over one small island in the Gulf instead of a massive escalation. Strange scenario, but definitely less chaotic than the doomsday option.
