Shadow and Betsy are both 6 years old. They are looking for a new home together. They came into the owners families care after some personal reasons with the owner. They are being rehomed through no fault of their own. Shadow and Betsy are brilliant with kids and have been around a 6 year old before, therefore a family with kids would be okay. They aren't too keen on other dogs or cats, they have been around house rabbits which they haven't bothered with. Shadow and Betsy are healthy with no issues. They don't eat chicken as this could cause them allergies. They eat bakers beef meaty chunks or weebox complete biscuits. Both are great on the lead and sleep on a cushion in the kitchen. They absolutely love to meet new people and love all the attention they get. Shadow and Betsy are fine in the house on their own if you need to go out. They also travel okay in the car. Shadow and Betsy allow kids to dress them up and play with them. They love to sit in the sun in the garden. A home with a secure garden would be great for them. They have always been together so we will rehome them both together. Coincidentally, it also has the second-highest childhood cancer rate of any county in California. At 22.5 childhood cancers per 100,000 children, the rate is more than 38% above the statewide average of 16.3. Over 5,060 acres of pesticides linked to those same cancers are sprayed in the Pajaro Valley every year to grow 40% of California's strawberries. Worst of all, it’s often next to schools and homes where children spend most of their time. According to the latest data, over 2,000,000 pounds of pesticides were applied just in this school district’s area alone. Driscoll’s is reported to apply two together: 1. 1,3-D: fumigant used to sterilize the soil, officially listed by the state as a carcinogen, causes tumors in multiple animal studies 2. Chloropicrin: originally deployed as a chemical weapon in World War I, so toxic that it kills or disables test animals before scientists can even evaluate its long-term carcinogenicity But yeah it’s probably just a coincidence all the kids are getting cancer? This is why you need to be buying local and seasonal fruit. Do not trust major corporations to do the right thing for our food or health.

Remember me talking about my neighbor's dogs that keep pooping in our yard with zero care from the owner? One of them just chased my 6yo daughter while she was playing outside and bit her arm. 15 minutes before by 9yo daughter's birthday party. I'm not at the urgent care with my six year old and my wife is juggling a birthday party with 8 kids on her own. This is the second child this dog has bitten. We have already contacted animal control and filed a report. Is there anything else I should be doing?
