Rep. Nancy Mace says the investigation into Ilhan Omar went nowhere. Mace said she tried to subpoena immigration records tied to Omar as part of the Ethics Committee referral. It went nowhere. “The line is always ‘let the process play out,’” Mace said. “That’s what they always say… and nothing ever happens.” Even worse, a motion tied to the issue was ultimately killed by Republicans. So the same Congress that loves to lecture the public about accountability suddenly closes ranks when one of their own is involved.
