Did Cutting Prescriptions Reduce Addiction? The Data Says No. For a decade, the answer was the same — cut prescriptions. Opioid prescriptions fell 29%. High-dose prescriptions fell by over 60%. Total opioid doses were cut nearly in half. Opioid use disorder went from 2 million to 4.8 million. Prescriptions fell. Addiction rose. The dr's took him off pain pills despite the amputation of his toes. 73 yrs old comes down with dementia within 2 years of taking them" @PoojaLagisetty I wish your recent study with LTOT numbers would address why there is so much gabapentin prescribing, and the harms from it alone, not just as polypharmacy. Harm in the name of opioid reduction is not mentioned.

All of her vital signs are strong! Hallelujah! She is going to the ICU now and will likely remain sedated for quite a while until the remove the breathing tube. So things look hopeful but we have to keep praying that she does not experience any strokes or blood clots. The doctor seemed optimistic! Please keep Heather in your prayers - and thank you. I hope this means she will feel much healthier and happier in the future. (Heather is in the middle)...
