RIP Janet, never afraid to speak your mind

Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her. The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.

@anon_opin I used to encounter one, or the other - or possibly both of them at different times - in the Safeway (now Morrisons, fact fans) at Hunter's Tryst in Edinburgh.
He was surprisingly tall.

When The Proclaimers come on my 'shuffle all' playlist I'm reminded that not only are they fantastic singers, songwriters and social commentators but their output is consistently excellent with their later work being as good if not better than their early albums.

I hope Jeremy Corbyn sets up the groundwork to organise the non-Labour left by setting up a new political party.
It could gain trade union affiliations, bring together independent candidates who performed well, become the largest party by membership, and possibly poll at 5-10%.
