The actual number of full blood Aboriginals who fought in WW1 was basically zero. The ones who served were almost all mixed race half caste or quarter caste , who had enough European blood to push their IQ into the range where they could learn English, take orders, and handle a modern army. They were legally classified as Aboriginal, but genetically and cognitively they were far closer to the white side. The story that’s pushed today "thousands of Aboriginal heroes fought at Gallipoli" is bullshit. It’s a feel good rewrite of history that ignores the reality of the IQ gap and the selection effect. Only the ones who were already part European could actually do the job.

I can not understand why people support welcome to country ceremonies. It's admission that your living on stolen land. I am not buying into this. It's just rubbish.

@JMarshall63666 If course they do. They are Australians. Italians, Greeks, Christians, Hindus & countless other subgroups fought in Australian defence forces. They however do not seek a special part of the service. The service is for united Australians, not a specialist minority.

The ABC simply can't accept that the booing at Anzac ceremonies wasn't aimed at individuals or indigenous people. It was expressing disgust that a Welcome to Country was included. It wasn't necessary, altered the event's focus & showed a poor social understanding.
