Pet peeve: to "decimate" means to reduce by 10%, so stop using it like it's a synonym for "destroy." Just say "destroy." You don't sound smarter, you sound stupid.

Just before the old millenium ticked over into the new one, we were blessed with yet another legendary FPS game that helped define a genre and cement the legacy of the 90s decade: Unreal Tournament (Epic Games, 1999). Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake, Half-Life... and Unreal (Tournament) - absolute benchmark setting games. Maybe it's "ancient" by today's standards. But it was one of the best of its kind back then, and I'll take a bet and say many fans still prefer this over today's shooters. Or maybe I am just getting old and gloryfing things from the past too much. Do you prefer modern FPS over the classic legends from back in the day?

The bad guys won the Vietnam War, and all my boomer buddies who look on the NVA and VC fondly are blind and deaf and retarded. That includes Lucas. That said, the modern Vietnam are mostly not the evil and corrupt men that were committing the atrocities, and I'm sure they're unaware of those atrocities.

I want to agree, and for the most part I do, but as I get older and take on more responsibilities in life, I continue to fall behind on new game releases and my backlog looks like a collection and not a to-do-list. If I have to spend hours trying to solve a puzzle, even if its my own skill issue, I’m probably just going to move on or look it up. It should be a toggle for sure, but it would stay on for me because I want to experience the game and move on to the other games I havent gotten to experience. My backlog already implies that I just collect games and don’t play them lol

@SandyofCthulhu You don't understand, Sandy: when guns were invented by John L. Gunsmith in 754 B.C., they were non-lethal. Soon after, someone made them more powerful, and then the first murder in recorded history happened. It was a mistake and we must rectify it.

Is he unable to understand that sometimes you WANT to be able to inflict immediate stopping damage on a target? Consider his two images. A meth-crazed assailant menaces you. One bullet from the first image doesn't stop him. You have to shoot several more times. He dies. One bullet from the second image instantly stops him. He will probably live. A cop told me that a guy on PCP attacked his cop car and broke the front windshield with his fist. They somehow managed to subdue him and when he came out of his drug frenzy they discovered he'd broken several bones in his hand. But he didn't care and would have kept on punching. He's lucky the cops didn't kill him. I just want the bad guy to NOT be able to hurt me or my wife. More damage is a good thing from my point of view.
