Amazing news! FSSAI has passed a brilliant rule which forces companies to write the sugar, salt and fat content in bigger font and in bold. This change will make it easier for Indian consumers to spot junk foods and not fall for marketing gimmicks. For example, it will become easier for Indians to spot that Tang has 93% added sugar or Nestle Iced Tea has 90% added sugar. While there is a lot more to do to make packaged foods more transparent, I fully support this FSSAI decision! Small steps can have a massive long-term positive impact to India! Let's continue to make India healthier everyday!
