The most decisive thing I have seen @Keir_Starmer do in ages - is not pandering the the American nutcase, his insults or demands! The UK is NOT America's puppet

26 years of CHPR and I genuinely wouldn’t change a thing. The mistakes have been lessons and the successes have been stepping stones. Years of building up your business to watch it almost disappear in the unknown of the pandemic, the most awesome highs and the scariest of lows. A sense of enormous pride that you bounced back from every knock wiser and stronger. From pandemics, to economic crisis after economic crisis. The best fun and a billion laughs, and a life a teenage me dreamt of. Building businesses, making many venues the places to go, giving longevity to venues and helping so many businesses flourish. Being a connector of people and handling crisis comms with a calmness only experience enables. Someone once told me that ‘The most addictive thing in life a monthly salary’….. have the guts to turn your back on it and you are already a winner. 26 years - not over and not out Here’s to helping more businesses and making more memories along the way #aquarterofacenturyplusone loving every day

🚨 I just learned about a concept, I can't stop thinking about. The Four Burner Theory. It destroyed Elon Musk's first marriage. It explains why Bezos is jacked but divorced. And why Zuckerberg has no real friends. Once you understand it, your life will never be same:🧵

Btw, I was a liberal in the 2000s and haven't changed any of my opinions other than on tax (running your own small business is a bit of a red pill!). Then people came along and said being liberal means open borders, men in women's sports and arresting people for hurty words 😂

@ekwufinance Absolutely pathetic. The level of bureaucracy to get anything done in the UK is a complete farce. Government is 5x the size it needs to be. We will be the only country in the world that ends up hiring more people due to Ai

The UK is regulating itself into irrelevance. The plan was to build 531 km of high-speed rail. Before laying track, contractors had to: - Complete a 350-page “social value” assessment - Guarantee 30% female representation - Guarantee 20% ethnic-minority representation The outcome was predictable. - Original timeline: 2010-2026 - After years of delays and overruns, ~50% of the project was cancelled - Remaining construction now stretches beyond 2033 - Cost: ~£70B for just 40% of the route (~£311M per km) Meanwhile, China: - Built ~50,000 km of high-speed rail in 17 years - Averaging ~3,000 km per year - At a cost of ~£14M per km China builds high-speed rail ~200x faster and ~22x cheaper. Now apply the same regulatory mindset to the energy transition.... and the scale of waste becomes obvious.

modafinil's safety profile over 20+ years of clinical use is insane - approved for narcolepsy since 1998, millions of prescriptions, zero deaths (including a failed attempted suicide on 5000mg), minimal abuse cases reported to DEA. meanwhile amphetamines have FDA black box warnings for sudden death and your doctor still prescribes them first-line. the risk:reward ratio isn't even close. benefits insanely high, risks insanely low. for focus, longevity, and just straight fucking FLOW in your work, it's unrivaled. and that's without even considering the neuroprotective properties... US domestic modafinil i use: modafinilxl.com/buy/modvigil-d… EU modafinil i use: modawhale.to/shop/nootropic… all links & everything cognitive enhancement: basedbiohacker.any.org/cognitive-enha… not medical advice but those who know, they know.

Last quarter I rolled out Microsoft Copilot to 4,000 employees. $30 per seat per month. $1.4 million annually. I called it "digital transformation." The board loved that phrase. They approved it in eleven minutes. No one asked what it would actually do. Including me. I told everyone it would "10x productivity." That's not a real number. But it sounds like one. HR asked how we'd measure the 10x. I said we'd "leverage analytics dashboards." They stopped asking. Three months later I checked the usage reports. 47 people had opened it. 12 had used it more than once. One of them was me. I used it to summarize an email I could have read in 30 seconds. It took 45 seconds. Plus the time it took to fix the hallucinations. But I called it a "pilot success." Success means the pilot didn't visibly fail. The CFO asked about ROI. I showed him a graph. The graph went up and to the right. It measured "AI enablement." I made that metric up. He nodded approvingly. We're "AI-enabled" now. I don't know what that means. But it's in our investor deck. A senior developer asked why we didn't use Claude or ChatGPT. I said we needed "enterprise-grade security." He asked what that meant. I said "compliance." He asked which compliance. I said "all of them." He looked skeptical. I scheduled him for a "career development conversation." He stopped asking questions. Microsoft sent a case study team. They wanted to feature us as a success story. I told them we "saved 40,000 hours." I calculated that number by multiplying employees by a number I made up. They didn't verify it. They never do. Now we're on Microsoft's website. "Global enterprise achieves 40,000 hours of productivity gains with Copilot." The CEO shared it on LinkedIn. He got 3,000 likes. He's never used Copilot. None of the executives have. We have an exemption. "Strategic focus requires minimal digital distraction." I wrote that policy. The licenses renew next month. I'm requesting an expansion. 5,000 more seats. We haven't used the first 4,000. But this time we'll "drive adoption." Adoption means mandatory training. Training means a 45-minute webinar no one watches. But completion will be tracked. Completion is a metric. Metrics go in dashboards. Dashboards go in board presentations. Board presentations get me promoted. I'll be SVP by Q3. I still don't know what Copilot does. But I know what it's for. It's for showing we're "investing in AI." Investment means spending. Spending means commitment. Commitment means we're serious about the future. The future is whatever I say it is. As long as the graph goes up and to the right.

Shout out to all the parents out there trying to run a business or build their careers. I thought the pressure and anxiety were intense before having kids, but it's amplified by over 100 times trying to balance being present and a great father at the same time. It's a constant battle every day with exhaustion. But there's no greater feeling or privilege. Respect to you all. It's hard.

Referee defended well throughout there. Closing lanes. Bit of pressing. Always aware of what's over his left shoulder while on the half turn.
