It is Margaret Reed Lewis' birthday today! Here is a movie of her data recording the movement of mitochondria in a cell. She drew these by hand over time while looking through her microscope. No video cameras hooked up to microscopes in 1915......

My first opinion paper is out! I learned so much writing it with @ClaireRavenburg @vanwijklab. We look at how Clp chaperone Uvr motifs regulate proteolytic activity and substrate selection and propose candidate regulator proteins in chloroplasts.
