Dr. John Mearsheimer is absolutely right. If you just listen to Trump and watch the Fox Regime Propaganda and Disinformation Network you probably think the US is winning Trump's forever war in Iran and that Iran's military has ceased to exist. In fact, as I predicted at the start of the war, Iran holds all the cards and an Iranian strategic victory over the US is virtually inevitable.

@Run_Bernie_Run @WarMonitor3 Invade to hold or hit and run? Invade the smaller islands that are within the center of the strait? These islands were UAE in the 70's. (Not Kharf) There is little risk and greater reward of holding these. They would deny Iran a base of ops and UAE troops could be moved there.

Iran is a very target rich environment. These were used correctly in the first 3 weeks of the campaign. only 850 targets of more than 10,000 destroyed were via Tomahawks. They are invaluable once again. We are not out of Tomahawks, but our need for them in Iran is now greatly reduced, corresponding also that we used about 800 of them early in standoff missions.

If you think the US armed forces hasn't taken this seriously, your a fool. Its deadly serious. Most navy ships do possess the ability to counter drones with CIWS.

The logistical train for this would be months and by then we are up against the war powers act requirements. I do agree the smaller UAE islands occupied by Iran will be taken and returned as they are in the straits.

@WarMonitor3 🇺🇸marines are going to land on one of the islands in the strait of Hormuz. It seems like the only way to re open the strait. If this fails they would have to go onshore to mainland Iran
