Manchester City recalled Max Alleyne back from Watford in January as our defence was falling apart with injuries. In those few appearances he got, you could see it straight away. How he was composed, switched on, and not out of place at all. He didn’t look like a kid thrown in for the sake of it, he looked like someone who belonged. Since then, the picture’s changed. Players have come back fit, and then we added Marc Guehi to the team. Suddenly, the pathway that looked slightly open for Alleyne has basically shut. If you look ahead to next season, it’s hard to map out where he even gets minutes. We already have Ruben Dias, Guehi, Josko Gvardiol, and Abdukodir Khusanov as options already. Then you’ve potentially got Vitor Reis and Stephen Mfuni coming back into the mix too. That’s six top level centre backs before you even mention Alleyne. It is tough, but that’s the reality. At a club like this, being sixth or seventh choice wouldn't be any kind of development, but only a stagnation. At 20, he doesn’t need to be hanging around the squad hoping for scraps. He needs games, proper minutes, responsibility. He has already shown enough to suggest he can handle more than just Championship football. He looked comfortable at Watford, and he didn’t look out of his depth for us either. For me, the next step for Alleyne would be a loan at a Premier League club. A move where he’s trusted, where he plays week in, week out, where he’s actually under pressure. That’s what will tell us what level he can truly reach. Staying at Manchester City next season will just stall him and his bright future ahead. If we handle this right, though, there’s a player there. A really good one. He just needs the platform to prove it.

City will allow James Trafford to go out on loan next season if he insists on not staying at the Etihad. They do not expect any club to meet with their current valuation, which is far in excess of the £40m reported earlier this week. Clubs will also have to match 100% of wages.

Israel has more military in uniform, an Iron Dome protection, more than six times as many tanks and twice as many combat aircraft than the UK for a smaller budget. Why can’t the UK government get more for our defence money?

Erm inconvenient truth time David Miliband served as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) from 2006 to 2007. During this time, he championed climate action, helped build cross-party support for stronger targets, promoted ideas like personal carbon allowances (though they weren't implemented), and pushed for the development of what became the Climate Change Act 2008. He played a key role in getting the legislation moving and convincing sceptical colleagues in government, partly to avoid being "out-greened" by the Conservatives under David Cameron. The Climate Change Act 2008 (which received royal assent in November 2008) was the landmark law. It made the UK the first country to set legally binding carbon budgets and a long-term target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% by 2050 (compared to 1990 levels). This replaced an earlier, less ambitious 60% target. By the time the bill passed, David Miliband had moved to Foreign Secretary (in 2007), and his brother Ed Miliband had taken over as Secretary of State for the new Department of Energy and Climate Change, announcing the 80% target in Parliament.

Please explain why Norway has a booming oil and gas industry and ours is dead? This isn’t incompetence. It's treason.

@HornblowMedia @DocAhmadMalik Absolutely nothing to do with Milliband or indeed the current government. Thatcher did the damage cheaply selling off the oil and Gas to the multi nationals whilst sensible Norway kept theirs and set up a sovereign wealth fund. We now have to buy oil and gas at the market rate.

🚨 | BREAKING : JAMES TRAFFORD 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Newcastle United are INTERESTED in signing James Trafford from Manchester City this summer, CONFIRMED! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✅️⚫️⚪️#NUFC James Trafford is EXPECTED to consider a move away from Manchester City in search of a REGULAR STARTER role next season. 🧤📈 With Gianluigi Donnarumma set to be Manchester City’s clear No.1, Trafford’s chances of consistent minutes remain VERY LIMITED at the club. ❌️👀 Manchester City are OPEN to letting James Trafford leave in the summer window, but only for a package worth around £30m. 💰💥 Newcastle United are actively looking for a NEW GOALKEEPER as uncertainty grows around Nick Pope’s future at the club. 👀⚫️⚪️ The club are also UNWILLING to make Aaron Ramsdale’s loan move permanent, which further increases the need for a new long-term No.1. ❌️🧤 James Trafford is now one of the names on Newcastle’s shortlist as they assess options ahead of the summer window. 👀💣 One to watch in the next weeks as Newcastle continue their goalkeeper search. ⚫️⚪️

It would be insulting to buy a right-back over Mattheus Nunes this summer. There are no perfect right-backs and he's perfect for us. He's had a brilliant season.
