@yonkojohn Nope. Not remotely true. Elderly immigrants to Canada do not automatically receive Canada Pension Plan (CPP) or Old Age Security (OAS) benefits upon arrival. Eligibility and payment amounts are determined by specific residency lengths and contribution requirements.

@brianlilley I drove this route fr Toronto - Winnipeg in 23 hours over two days in June, 1 sleep in Sault Ste Marie, dinner in TBay & thru to Winnipeg by 2am. I was trying to make good time and I did, but I would take the opportunity to pull into the look-outs next time to enjoy the views.
