@benonwine Bread and dripping with a sprinkle of salt on it. Staple diet when I was a kid. Of course in those days yer Mum saved the dripping from the roast on Sundays. None of this insipid bought stuff.

Sad news ... One of our greatest athletes, Mary Rand has died in the United States where she lived. She won the long jump gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic games of 1964. The won icon is overused, but Mary was an inspirational golden girl for a generation.
