Tim Sweeney has stated this in terms of the future for Fortnite:
What we now need to do is clear: build awesome Fortnite experiences with fresh seasonal content, gameplay, story, and live events; accelerate developer tools with greater stability and capability as we evolve from Unreal Engine 5 and UEFN to Unreal Engine 6. And we'll be kicking off the next generation of Epic with huge launch plans towards the end of the year.

Nikita Bier says Creator Payouts will now be affected by the user’s location.
But told me personally I wouldn’t get paid at all: “We won’t send you money overseas.”
Why is a regular user being targeted like this?
I just think this change raises many issues:
- What about US citizens living abroad?
(many are full time X creators)
- What about legitimate international creators?
- Users from countries with little user base?
(Vatican, 800 people; Andorra, 80k, etc.)
- International full time X creators?
Why should an account like mine not be paid at all while delivering over 100M impressions a month? Because the Head of Product doesn’t like me?
I think @elonmusk should look into this.
There are smarter ways to deal with ‘foreign interference’ from 3rd world countries.
I was suspended within minutes of respectfully commenting about Nikita, then unbanned by Elon Musk himself. Hope it doesn’t happen again.

I grew my following when I was living in the US. Therefore, big part of my followers are American.
Even though I mostly speak about European politics now, Americans are my base followers and the ones interacting with my content the most.
They are really interested in what it’s going on in Europe.
I’ve been using X since Elon bought it almost three years ago. Also, I’ve been advocating for it to every social media creator I talked with.
But you make it really hard now, Nikita. You destroyed the core essence of X. It was the app of hope and freedom.
Yet, I would arguably say X is now the most regulated app out there. I hope you realise Instagram has freedom of speech…
They didn’t in the past, which is awful and disgusting. But now they do.
The algorithm has been Hell for months. Every time it gets better, something new changes and it sucks again. And again. And again.
It’s tiring and frustrating to see what it used to be the most innovating and free social media platform become one more on the list.
Nothing is special about it now. I don’t see any incentives to use it as my main one anymore.
Also, it has become almost impossible to grow followers and the number of followers doesn’t matter in the algorithm.
You’ve converted X almost in a socialist app. And I hate to say it, I hate to complain about it, but it gets tiring.

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American.
I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language.
Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent.
X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings.

In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew, and the layoff wasn't a performance-based "rightsizing" as companies call it nowadays. It's a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the top few percent of their discipline.
