@IndexAndForget Underrated position sizing rule. If a position disturbs your peace, the issue is usually size, thesis quality, Karen-like emotions, or all the above

@KobeissiLetter The key question is whether this is China/HK-specific de-risking or just capital rotating toward the strongest current narrative.

Chinese investors are dumping Hong Kong stocks at a record pace: Hong Kong equity ETFs listed in China posted a record -$3.7 billion in outflows last week, the largest weekly outflow on record. This marks the 5th consecutive weekly outflow and the 10th over the last 12 weeks. By comparison, Hong Kong stock ETFs saw 11 weekly outflows during the entire 2025. Capital is rotating into China-listed semiconductor and AI-linked stocks, which investors view as more direct beneficiaries of the AI boom. Even a +10% surge in Tencent on Tuesday failed to stop the outflows, with mainland Chinese investors using the rally as an opportunity to exit ~$268 million worth of its shares during the same day. Chinese investors are turning away from Hong Kong.

One of the most important investing skills is having a strict sell discipline. Before entering a position, define what would invalidate your thesis and at what level you'll reassess or exit. Most losses don't become catastrophic overnight. They happen when investors refuse to admit they're wrong. As a rule of thumb, I review every position once it's down 15%. The goal isn't to avoid losses. It's to prevent small mistakes from becoming large ones.

Everyone’s hyped for the @SpaceX IPO but look at some of the biggest IPO of the past and their 1Y drawdown. The market is overhyped about these mega IPO but they could mark the top for a bit when they all start the selloff Are you taking the bait and investing in them?

This is absolutely incredible. Investors now perceive Nvidia to be as creditworthy as the US government. Nvidia's $NVDA, 5-year credit default swap (CDS) is trading at ~38 basis points, slightly below the US sovereign CDS, at 40 basis points. In other words, markets consider the world's largest company to be less likely to default on its obligations than the US federal government. This comes as in FY2026, Nvidia carried only ~$8.5 billion in total debt against ~$10.6 billion in cash and generated nearly $100 billion in free cash flow, giving it one of the strongest balance sheets of any company in the world. Even if Nvidia's earnings dropped -90%, it would still rank among the 100 most profitable companies in the world. Markets are treating Nvidia as one of the safest companies on the planet.
