Sen. @JohnCornyn was asked by our reporter on why @POTUS should endorse him when many voters say his record has worked against his agenda.
Instead, he fired back with an accusation.
“Are you being paid by the @KenPaxtonTX campaign?” Cornyn asked.
Our reporter, @alisonintheknow, responded that she was simply “a concerned American citizen representing millions of other Americans.”
Cornyn doubled down:
“No, I think you're a paid influencer because none of that's true and you know it.”
