@AndyBeshearKY spent his term advancing policies out of step with Kentucky values. Now he’s focused on the national spotlight, prioritizing book sales over the people he serves and leaving Kentuckians to deal with the fallout of a broken, corrupt administration.

What a clown show, @KyDems. By the time you pushed this garbage, @RCforAG had already announced approval of the gas tax suspension. Maybe call on @AndyBeshearKY to explain why he’d rather take money from foster kids than rein in the wasteful spending under his watch.

Attorney General Russell Coleman@kyoag

Of course Kentuckians should have lower gas prices. But now, the Governor is just playing politics. I’ll sign an executive order allowing the gas tax suspension to take effect.

Republicans continue to put more money back in the hands of hardworking Kentuckians. Treasurer Mark Metcalf has returned more than $100 million, setting a new record for the most returned at this point in any administration in the Commonwealth’s history. wbko.com/2026/04/22/100…

Governor @AndyBeshearKY vetoed a bill that stops the state from taking Social Security survivor benefits from children in foster care after the loss of their parents. Why? Because instead of getting a handle on his administration’s wasteful spending of your tax dollars, he wanted to keep taking money from these kids. Republicans overrode the Governor’s veto to ensure foster children have access to the resources they deserve—resources that can help them move forward with their lives. Let that sink in, Kentucky. Andy Beshear would rather keep taking money out of the hands of vulnerable children than work to cut wasteful spending to make up the roughly $11 million the state will no longer receive. Again, this money wasn’t the state’s. Now it’s going where it belongs and the Governor will be forced to get a handle on his administration’s spending. A win-win in our book. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…
