Saminathan couldn’t become Erode district secretary, he had to convince then chief minister Karunanidhi to include Vellakoil in the Tirupur district so that he can become district secretary of new district. He was highways minister between 2006-11. But after carving out Tirupur district, he became district secretary he wasn’t sure of his win so shifted to Madathukulam (lost badly in 2011), again he shifted to Tirupur North in 2016 (lost even more badly). Finally he had to shift back to his own assembly Kangeyam in 2021 (erstwhile Vellakoil) and won with wafer thin margin of just 7,331 votes. Only Chennimalai union helped to win. He lost badly in his own town panchayat in Muthur. In 2011, NSN Natraj won with 42.000 votes. So on what basis Natraj lost charm and Saminathan has charm to win again ? 🤦‍♂️

Funny how these “comfortable” cyber coolies and fanboys are suddenly afraid to contest in the 27 seats, calling them “unwinnable.” Sitting in the shade and expecting AIADMK and alliance partners to do the hard work will never build strength. As a BJP activist for more than 25 years, I will wholeheartedly work and vote for the NDA candidate in Modakurichi—whoever is chosen. I have complete faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. If they decide on a dog or donkey candidate, I will stand by that decision and do my duty with full commitment.

I don’t have the time or interest to respond to every question raised by fanboys. Politics is not a free licence to bite and bark at everyone. If the party that governs the nation had wanted an IPS officer to lead the Tamil Nadu state unit, it would have done so without hesitation. The party does not, and will never, peddle to any external pressure. In Tamil, we say: “சிறுபிள்ளை வெள்ளாமை வீடு வந்து சேராது” — that perfectly reflects this fanboy behaviour. It’s done and dusted, and I have no intention of digging into it further. If some supporters are unwilling to work with leaders like Nainar, Vanathi, or Murugan, that is an internal tussle—something seen in every political space. But refusing to align with the party high command and national leadership is nothing but childishness. Those who still wish to bark and bite at me are free to do so. I will not engage with such immature behaviour. At the same time, I acknowledge that Annamalai has worked hard . Whether that effort has taken the party forward or backward is open for debate. But the behaviour of fanboys makes one thing clear—this is driven by childishness and conceit, and such an attitude will never align smoothly with party .
