Everything I like but is prohibited by someone in some text is acceptable because Āpāta kāla, but everything I don't like is unacceptable because someone somehere in some deep dehat forbade it, even if it is good for society. Quite great logic you have here.

You mentioned that Āpāta kāla is an excuse, how it is an excuse, when the situation as mentioned in veda is dire only. You mentioning excuses, means that you are implying that they wanted you to eat dog māṃsa, thus the motion of Āpāta. You may try to hide your mistake, but it's pretty clearly visible.

@kvvsgopalrao What Krishna says & does are two very different things. If you follow the Scriptures, Krishna & everyone around him would qualify for Hell so believing Hindus cope by attributing exclusivity to him for being divine, & by coping that everyone mortal is dead now.

Interesting court case on a temple in Gujarat. Appointing a trust comprising local villagers seems to be a decent compromise. These things need standard templates perhaps. What irks people more is secular government and bureacracy takeover and subjecting temple management to electoral politics. No tradition within Hinduism supports eating eggs and onion and garlic. Newly self-identified Shaktas, learn this. Of course the restrictions are different based on varna. But shouldn't the schools be considering all Varnas? Milk and a general balanced diets are enough anyways.
