Begin with a more modest approach. Dory’s Docker Core now reuses its signed engine kernel and root filesystem for the macOS 14 fallback option. This eliminates roughly 112 MB of duplicated compatibility data from the installed Core application while preserving the full engine.

Build only what is necessary. Kubernetes, Linux machines, the desktop runtime, Debian, Ubuntu and Kali are signed optional components. You may install, verify, update or remove them separately, and review precise component sizes prior to installation.

Linux extends beyond command-line interfaces. You can launch and evaluate graphical Linux applications alongside your containers using high-resolution Xfce desktops, lasting storage, defined Mac directories, and system backups. Debian, Ubuntu, and Kali are available whenever you require an authentic visual environment.

Please provide AI agents with a contained environment for experimentation. Dory’s Preview sandbox executes each command within a dedicated Linux virtual machine, with host files hidden by default. You may select explicit mounts, enforced network isolation, rollback, time-to-live cleanup, or automatic virtual machine removal.

The boundary is evident. A read-write mount stays writable, though the default configuration prevents host access. Dory offers no conflicting guidance. Still, agents can interfere with generated files inside a temporary virtual machine, after which you may restore modifications or delete the entire setup.

Components may depart while your contributions remain. Deleting optional payloads retains workload information on your chosen .dorydrive. Version 0.3.2 additionally supports exact and wildcard local domains via integrated HTTP and trusted HTTPS proxies.
