A pattern you'll notice if you think back over the course your politically-aware life is that the particular tax getting the most hate in the political discourse always happens to be the one the one the Boomers are currently paying.

@pythonrocksnake Don't be so dramatic. The Greatest and Silent generations bitched about property taxes for years. It was so big in the 80s, PA had a tax overhaul referendum in 1989 to placate them. (It failed massively.)

@pythonrocksnake I could work out that property taxes turn everyone into renters when I was 12. It ain’t that complicated. Tax the movement of money, not existence.
