i lost a good amount of money in the last week. ever since 10/10 i had stayed away from perp trading if i didn't have a true trade with conviction. i had been so disciplined for months, made "slower" money, and was defensive with any drawdowns. but because i simply opened up the perps tab and played around, my craving for dopamine took over. i gathered some ideas that made sense and entered into a few trades. i got chopped up as crypto ranged, and the worse part, got mentally fatigued. then said f*ck it and gambled on other things that had zero reasoning. further spiral. the worse part is that all of these were against the rules that had protected me for so long from myself. just takes a little peak through the door to walk down the wrong path again. taking a breather, realigning, and resetting mentally. thought id share! being a good trader comes with the ups and downs, and the constant nurturing of sticking firm to our strategies. discipline over the long term wins.
