First proof of the Chromatic Shadows Core Beta arrived today! Pretty amazing to see it in hardcover form, even at this early stage. Colors are a little desaturated, though, and it definitely needs heavier paper stock. Getting closer!

Gonna upgrade the paper and boost the colors, but here's a few (in progress) spreads. Plan on keying chapter & section in the lower bar for reference.

Researchers at the University of Tokyo created Jizai Arms, a backpack-like system that can support up to six robotic arms controlled by the user’s movements. It helps people perform tasks that are hard or impossible with just two arms. The system could assist firefighters, construction workers, medical professionals, and people with disabilities.

Since it's my first KS, I'm really trying to scope the project and focus on delivering the complete game as quickly and efficiently as possible. I did, however, come up with some exciting ideas for stretch goals. Would be a shame if I didn't try to make those a reality.

Making good moves on the Kickstarter page for Chromatic Shadows Core, looking to launch by May. Keeping the goals modest, and the rewards straightforward. Hoping to deliver the complete PDF by October. All backers will get immediate access to the nearly complete Beta version.

The first time I came across a good priest character in fiction was in Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett. It shocked me, I had never seen it before. There was a priest who stood up for the poor, showed courage and was an actual believing Catholic. Follett stopped doing that after his first book and now just does what everyone else does - horrible, evil clerics, no one actually religious, etc. But defying the trend just once was enough for me it to stick in my mind.
