@40kWorldview So true. There is much wisdom in the Ecclesiarchy and even its earlier manifestations. While the Astartes have their bolters, the average masses of mankind have nothing but faith as their shield against the dark. Mankind MUST confront the evil in the warp somehow.

The Ecclesiarchy is one of my favorite parts of 40k. What some may view as irony, I view as meaningful critique. Anti-Christ people don't seem to understand that many Christians welcome criticism of the Church. 40k provides some of the most poignant far-future reflections on the failures and dangers of religion. All while painting the most honest fictional depictions of FAITH.

@Jarrod_Zerbe I need to learn more. Most of my intel comes from the Imperial Agents and Adepta Sororitas codices. Do you have a novel recommendation? I know she is proto-Ecclesiarchy, but Euphrati Keeler has been a revelation to follow.

Even though you can read the writer's room from a mile away, I don't feel like they corrupted lore, so that's a win 🤣 For me, it is always a treat to see 40k in motion! The setting and mission were compelling. As for the aluminum Necron, they certainly should pose a greater threat than just being overwhelmed.

If this was my faction, I would be hyped to spend much money.

And of course, the Dawn of War 4 Admech trailer had to feature a girl-boss black woman who looks like a man. The Necrons are just punching bags, the guy is a coward, and the girl-boss stays behind for a noble sacrifice... because reasons. I guess they wanted to check as many diversity boxes as possible in one character. The trailer was such shit.

oh if you're not familiar with the story of Olanius, DEFINITELY check it out. he is the last named "Catheric" living in the times of the Great Crusade in 30k. He's also a perpetual, even older than the Emperor. they were friends, once upon a time in classical history. its a fascinating tale. I would have to re examine the whole story again now, as I'm much more committed and involved with Christ, and my faith, but Ol's story within the 40k universe is possibly a saving work of our Lord even in that fiction. He's important and he does some good things, without spoiling too much.

I was recently reminded of John 1:5, "The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend it." All across the human stage we see this manifested. People moved by the spirit of antichrist can't grasp the goodness of Jesus, so they mock and pervert His name. Games Workshop moved by the spirit of activist can't grasp the position of their opponents, so they slander and warp their own property.
