@ItsOnlyATweet @GBPolitcs Missed the part where he’s still got a knife in his hand did you?
English

@GBPolitcs Not taking away from what hes done its absolutley vile. But, why is that officer booting and stamping on hes head when hes clearly detained?? Am i missing something??
English

@KevinInChrist @Inevitablewest Glad, I m not the only one who noticed that. Policing is to serve and protect and not brutality. Dude is subdued, put on handcuffs and put em behind the bar.🙄

@_Unknown_D_ £35 hair and beard. From a legit non “Turkish barber” though.
English

@jamesbenge That absolutely stinks of begging Maresca to come back
English

@rhysforan @HACKETTREF @talkSPORT It’s been known for ages that you pull hair it’s a red. Happened on cucarella a few times. Don’t understand why people don’t get it..
English

@HACKETTREF @talkSPORT It’s a shambles.
John Brooks decided Martinez pulling a bobble is a red. He came to the conclusion that a headbutt isn’t a red.
Tierney sent off Martinez for the hair bobble, but lets the pull at Brentford go. Oh and he was 4th at Eithihad

@kevinhatchard Real Madrid and Barcelona do not play anti football like Arsenal though
English

For anyone who thinks Atletico Madrid are going to try to dig in against #afc in the Champions League, consider this: they have played nine matches against Real Madrid and Barcelona this season, and those games featured 34 goals at nearly four per game.

Sky Sports posting this is pretty mad, I have to say.

@benonwine Just like everyone else you aren’t telling the whole story..

SACKED after 17 years… for stopping a thief.
A Waitrose worker in Clapham Junction has lost his job after intervening to stop someone stealing Easter eggs.
Walker Smith, 54, had given 17 years of service only to be shown the door for trying to do the right thing.
No warning. No loyalty. Just gone.
What message does that send to staff and to every other would be shoplifter wanting an easy target.
Do your job… but don’t actually protect the business. Waitrose have ABSOLUTELY no loyalty to their staff they are quite happy to dispense of Loyal partners like yesterdays rubbish.

English

@DrRitaDed You really did all that studying to realise that there are two genders? Hope it was worth it. Happy Easter!
English

@samuel_leeds What is the SIA training for if they aren’t even allowed to stop a shoplifter?
English

In the UK, theft is basically legal. 😢
Walker Smith worked at Waitrose for 17 years. He attempted to stop a shoplifter from stealing some luxury chocolates from his store.
What was the outcome?
Was he rewarded with a bonus or a bravery award?
Nope. He was sacked.
We have now reached a point where it’s often easier to steal than to earn minimum wage.
Store policies seem to encourage shoplifting. They tell staff “don’t get involved.”
If you’ve ever had anything under £500 stolen in the UK and called the police, I can ASSURE you they won’t care in the slightest.
The consequence? As shoplifting rises, so will the prices of your everyday food items. Pricing is influenced by the typical rate of theft.
Learn to earn money legally. Don’t steal.

@CPhilpOfficial “Should be supported and encouraged to intervene”.. From someone who’s no doubt never worked in retail. Absolutely ridiculous. Why would retail workers risk their lives for absolutely no reason at all?
