It’s located on the side of the Ace Hardware building. This colorful piece honors the Indigenous heritage of the Pittsburg area, specifically the Bay Miwok people who lived here long before European settlers arrived. The mural acknowledges the lives of these Indigenous groups, whose cultures were reshaped by newcomers. Today, these blended cultures coexist, a reality the mural beautifully captures. The Pokéstop was submitted and approved while the mural was still in progress, showing outline sketches alongside fully painted sections. Today’s Daily pick is from Trainer AmongMasks (@AmongMasks) in California, 🇺🇸! This postcard showcases graffiti art in Los Angeles. It depicts an Egyptian-themed cosmic scene, featuring a silhouetted figure (likely a pharaoh or Egyptian deity) holding a staff, standing before large stylized pyramids.
