@BenCols @IanCundall Think of it this way, if story gets hurt long term again would you rather a guy who hits maybe .150 with mediocre defense at short or a guy with solid defense and a ~.260 average

In a vacuum Isiah Kiner-Falefa is a fine depth signing as a UTIL infielder for a team leaning into run prevention. The fit w/this Red Sox team is a little curious as he doesn’t help the offense & they already have several UTIL infielders who are cheaper & have options remaining.

@IanCundall The more I think on it the more I think that they’re doing this so that they can have those UTIL guys in AAA as depth rather than the Tristan grays or Mickey Gaspars of the world

The practical reason is that they agree upon lists of possible guys and then decide after further scouting/performance. White Sox will get to pick two, Red Sox one.
