@Paynne14 Who's forcing here? I'm highlighting the statistics and inferring from it. Correlation to causation. If the player base is steady, why would the company make sweeping changes to how their game is played?

@CapSilverFox I get that people dont like where the game is at but thats a personal opinion.. forcing people to not play a game they want to play is just wrong. Touch grass. Its not that big of a deal.

@ThisIsGatsu The gacha example is so on point. Yes, gamers are notoriously bad at boycotting games that they don't want to play but secretly do.

@CapSilverFox It's funny and sad how things are. People criticize T8, yet they kept playing it even though devs aren’t changing anything. This isn’t an isolated case, as it also happens to Gacha players as well. Are gamers just… bad at “boycotting”?

@Cosmoslayer My guess is a vast majority of them. Battle passes are good at retaining a captive player base.

@CapSilverFox And how many are these players only play to level-up their Premium Battle Pass since Season 2 starts because I am one of them. I even fight Ghosts only like Harada-san. 😆

@Anima_27_ I AM playing something else, but apparently, the people who have the most problem with the game aren't. That's what this is, a graph that shows that despite all the bitching, numbers are healthy. People are turning up to play a game they allegedly hate.

@CapSilverFox Go play something else, the community needs to separate anyway to classic games and become discord fighter, while thre actual players can make a contribution to the next titles, even if they make all the good chances, the community will hate tk8 regardless.

@BreezyNick87 Popularity isn't a factor here, it's how consistently players show up every day to play. The more stable their numbers are, the less they have to worry about.

@CapSilverFox It’s never been a popular played game outside its fist month of release. Even mk1 landed on circana charts for top played game several times after release

@BlakeIlluse Thank you! Yes, they're arguably making more money with less overall copies sold thanks to the steady rate of DAU that they can exploit with shop gear and battle passes. If that metric isn't hit, they're not singing a different tune.

@CapSilverFox You are right. They won’t change strategy until they have to. T8 has made more money than T7 to this point in each installment. With next gen consoles coming around 2028 they will cater to classic balancing when needed to keep inline with these same metrics.

@chriscitric Exactly where is the "attack" here? I'm pointing out the DAU trend and highlighting that as long as Bamco sees consistency, they're going to continue on track with whatever they're doing.

@TheCanyn Players don't stay because their fav content creators play the game; they stay because they derive value from it, whether it's the rank, the clips, the drip, or the general appeal. As long as they remain, Bamco is going to continue with moronic balance changes.

@TheCanyn TMM playing two highly addictive games shows just what his real problem is. That being said, content creators will not stop since they like Tekken, their core audience is Tekken, they all want Tekken, and by God, they will have Tekken.

@Icey_Aurora Not gonna argue with you on Murray and the devs not getting Tekken. That is the biggest issue with the game, the unwillingness to refocus the game according to a vision that doesn't come from management. We're not in 2006 anymore, community matters to games now.

@CapSilverFox Yeah it needs to be more noticeable along with less S3 pass and shop sells for Bandai to care about the money, I get you. I think it's over either way since the people driving the game such as Murray don't like or understand core Tekken and seem to have huge egos.

@TMask97 @PezzimanFGC True, they did receive lots of free content updates, but in terms of popularity, they absolutely tanked after being hyped up through the roof & failing to deliver. For T8, the focus is seems to be maintaining a steady player base to cash in on MTX, which is what is happening.

@CapSilverFox @PezzimanFGC You failed to mention the amount of support no mans sky and cyberpunk both received to now achieve those critically claimed player base rates. Their stability and playerb is much higher due to the quality of work the updates had in them. Tekken has the opposite effect right now.
