This was an INCREDIBLE team effort to brainstorm and then fill out the topics during the workshop, then actually constructively write a paper with so many authors - I cannot thank everyone enough for making it such a lovely, positive experience. (5/x)

I won't say too much here, because I'd love you to actually go read the paper (it's open access!), but briefly, we cover who bioimage analysts are, how we add value, how we can prove to our bosses we add value, and what we need from other groups/communities to thrive (4/x)

(Side note - several participants were kind enough to share their thoughts on the workshop over at Focal Plane - focalplane.biologists.com/2024/03/15/eff…) We had a great few days with old and new friends, and came up with our ideas for a community call-to-action (3/x)

This paper grew out of a great @Co_Biologists - workshop back in February called "Effectively Communicating Bioimage Analysis"; 30 amazing folks were kind enough to travel to the UK for four days to identify and talk through our community's biggest hurdles. (2/x)
