Join me as I navigate through life with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. ALS sucks, but my life certainly doesn't! @ShockurashC is my wife. @Neuralink P21/VOICE2

My #Neuralink BCI helps restore my ability to speak.
Watch as Skyler, a machine learning engineer at @Neuralink, shares how my BCI bypasses the broken neural pathways caused by my ALS.

The think tank at Neuralink strikes again. The BCI engineers have improved our ability to view neural signals modulating in real time. Did a quick check on my brain, confirmed it's still there and firing. Thanks @cchriskeach and N1 team!

@Partytime63 Mine isn't that bad - yet, and there is a treatment that works good if it heads that way.
English

@cyborg21 I can imagine how annoying this can be if living with him.

Pseudobulbar affect (PBA) can cause something similar in individuals with ALS/MND/PLS.
Sometimes it can be very difficult to stop laughing!
DeepWebSlinger@deepwebslinger
This guy had hip surgery and some unknown complication has caused him to continuously laugh about everything... I'm sure his wife, at this, point wants to kill him. I watched it three times and I laugh harder each time.😅🤣😂 Shit...my gut hurts 😅🤣😂😂🤣🤣😅😅🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😅

The eternal optimist in me will sing the praises of #Neuralink all day, but the more pragmatic side reminds me to post this: x.com/neuralink/stat…

Neuralink devices are investigational and are not commercially available or FDA approved. There are no guaranteed benefits from participating in a Neuralink clinical trial.

Hey! Don't forget Kenneth #Cyborg21! Similar to @ALScyborg, I've regained the ability to speak for the first time in several years!
And there's @NeuraNova9, who creates some of the most beautiful art I've seen in a long time!
For the record, I don't mind the cyborg label at all. In fact, I've fully embraced it as part of my online persona!

Media is targeting Elon again... Just like they always do, and now they are trying to fearmonger
"Don't Let Elon Musk Implant a Device in Your Skull" - Written by some morons in the media who have never suffered a day in their life, whose only real job is to relentlessly attack Elon
Imagine being that clueless
Neuralink is not about turning you into a cyborg. It's about making a broken body whole again. It’s giving people a second chance that was literally impossible until now
While these so-called journalists try to scare you for clicks, here is what’s actually happening right now:
→ Brad, trapped inside for 5 years by ALS, just regained his real voice and the freedom to connect with his family
→ Noland, paralyzed from the shoulders down, is back in college studying neuroscience and launching a public speaking career
→ Alex, paralyzed by a spinal cord injury, is using his thoughts to learn 3D design software and build a new career
→ "Blindsight" is now entering human trials to bypass damaged eyes and transmit vision straight to the brain... soon people whose world has been completely dark will be able to see again
Over a BILLION humans are waiting like them:
280M with depression
250M with tinnitus
101M stroke survivors
55M with dementia
50M with epilepsy
43M who cannot see
10M with Parkinson's
6M paralyzed
450K fighting ALS
Neuralink is not a dystopian threat. It's humanity’s greatest achievement through engineering
This is what the media is not telling you while they try to cause fear and panic to make Elon look like a villain rather than admit Elon is doing something very incredible

@ImKingGinger I'm thinking of giving it a try as well. I could host an AMAA answering questions live.
I'll be watching to see how it goes for you, and praying for success! 🙏

X is a powerful app for live news and immediate happenings. So there really is no reason someone should have to stream on other platforms just to browse X anyway.
I want to grow my live streaming audience on X but as of now it doesn't really push live videos to followers.
But I think I found a solution.
If you want to participate with my live streams be sure to set a notification to be alerted when I go live. If you select all posts, you will be bombarded and annoyed with border line incoherent late night tweet ramblings. So only select live video.
Plan to go live tomorrow so it would be great to test this with as many people as possible and see if that makes a difference. I think it will.
Let's send a message that there's an audience for livestreaming on X.

@JacobBaker613 @neuralink If they ever offer to turn me into Robocop, they won't have to ask twice! 🤣

From @grok:
🧠 What is Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA) in ALS?
If you or someone you know has ALS, you might see sudden, uncontrollable laughing or crying that doesn’t match how they actually feel.
That’s PBA — “emotional incontinence.” The brain damage from ALS disrupts the signals that control emotions, so the person might burst out laughing at something sad, or cry during a happy moment… even though inside they’re not feeling that emotion at all.
It’s NOT depression or losing their mind. It’s a common neurological symptom in ALS (and some other brain conditions). It can be embarrassing and exhausting, but it’s treatable with the right medication.
If this is happening to you or your loved one, talk to your neurologist — you don’t have to just “live with it.”

Morning routine unlocked 🧠⚡
First: charge hubby’s Neuralink
Then: we do all the things
Never a quiet morning anymore… and I’ve never been happier. @cyborg21 @neuralink

@Michiel_Dobbels From a tech point of view, if the chess app had voice recognition to move the pieces I could.
From a skill POV, probably not. 😁
English

@cyborg21 Good morning Kenneth (afternoon here in Europe). I was wondering if you can play chess on your laptop? ♟️

@AirBroker @Starlink I was thinking about mounting it to the top of a 1 metre long pole attached to the back of my chair.

I have the @Starlink Mini, and we have plans to mount it on my chair later this spring!

@cyborg21 Gotta get Starlink on board.
