My wife and I have discussed this. We both agreed that we loved each other more than we loved the kids. BUT we each loved the kids more than our own personal life. Therefore we would save the kids, because that is what our spouse would want us to do.

Economicamente, é híbrido e mais próximo do capitalismo: permite propriedade privada e lucro, mas subordinados ao Estado (corporativismo italiano vs. livre mercado puro). É visto como "terceira via", oposto ao liberalismo.

It's in the kids' best interest that we have a healthy relationship with the spouse, but then again the kids are the priority. Would you harm your kids to prioritize your relationship? Besides if the reason you are cultivating the relationship is cause it's in their best interest, that means you are prioritizing them, in a weird way.

They will get out of the house, marry, have their family of their own, etc. While you will share your life with your spouse up till the end. It's a different kind of love. "More" is always difficult to quantify

You chose them, you made a vow to them, you are indebted to them, and they were your spouse before they were your child's parent. 'Love more' is a clumsy phrase, but spouses are first priority.
