I agreed to get a Phil Foden haircut if 17 yo gets 1550 on the SAT. For people outside the UK, this is the risk I'm taking here:

Is there no way to transfer domain to Vercel without having to pay for renewal upfront? E.g. I bought a domain somewhere else and want to transfer. @vercel is charging a renewal fee even though I just got the domain.

EXCLUSIVE: Gamma, the AI visuals startup valued at $2.1B, is launching a $10M fund with VC Afore Capital. I spoke to CEO Grant Lee (@thisisgrantlee) about the "community" driven move -- and whether the tactic used by Anthropic and Perplexity can work for other, newer unicorns.

@sunny_jayaram fantastic take. I have been tinkering with the idea of creating better judging software and idea validation for hackathons to avoid such low level slop. Theres no excuse for this anymore.

$1,000 for whoever comes up with the best name replacement for InferenceMAX InferenceMAX 2.0 dropping soon but we have to rename it because HBO MAX sent us a cease and desist. We have all NVIDIA GPUs from h100 to GB300 on large MoEs with SOTA optimizations like Disagg PD tested

Clinicians sometimes ask: “Is vagus‑nerve stimulation just another wellness fad?” My answer: we mapped the inflammatory reflex from brain stem to synapse and validated its effects in controlled trials, a standard not met for fads.

What should we name it? We are about to launch our search engine for labs. You put in the labs you need and we'll tell you the best place, best $ to get them. This is step 1 in our cash price marketplace that will include 2.5M cash prices include surgeries, imaging, etc. We need a fun name. $500 if we pick your name and you were the first to recommend it.

@Altimor its pretty braindead to conclude "this is quite literally useless". At best usefulness is relative to the human experience, which is dependent on high variance individiuals across all domains, including climbing.

Okay I hate being that guy but am I the only one who, while appreciating the physical prowess, thinks that 1/ this is quite literally useless and 2/ most importantly, really irresponsible for a guy with wife and kids to put his life so unnecessarily in danger, basically just out of a self-serving desire for thrills and attention?

One of the most impressive things I've ever seen, just completely incomprehensible, is Alex Honnold doing this famous section of El Capitan ("The Boulder Problem") during his free solo. It's ~V7 difficulty, ~2000 feet in the air. The holds are so tiny. Makes me sweat watching it.

@gabriel1 not much more impressive than what we saw coming out of gpt3, or multimodality with 4. These are just great incremental innovations. And people are talking about this greatly, its just not relevant if its AGI or not, as you mentioned, the definition is too subjective

after only observing for last 2 months how the fuck is no one talking about AGI in its full sense of doing ALL work for us. the things i thought were years away are here. there has never been a better time to discuss deeply what this means, and how AGI can benefit everyone

@gabriel1 not sure what your definition of very soon, but definitely not 50%. openClaw is clearly a first step towards this, but its just 1 step out of thousands more to come. Im more interested in WHICH work will get 99%>> automated, vs which will be empowering (like arts, music etc)

very soon 50% of current non technical work will be done with ai without crazy setup or new interfaces it already works, it's just too slow and interfaces are wrong and complicated. but it's obvious it will happen after i talked to white collars outside sf. why they are hired:

humans are extremely good at taking an immediate decision, but extremely bad at predicting the trajectory of multiple decisions in a tree i transcribed 50k tokens to codex and tried to one shot a full dev tool - the only hard part left is to get good at predicting what i need

@gabriel1 why do you think we would need product managers at that point? Get a SaaS tool that can describe the needs of the legacy business

even if every SaaS tool can be one shot with codex snd SaaS is dead, there is zero percent chance legacy businesses can describe their own needs well enough there will be a new mckinsey, but with product manager that are actually not useless

@joshwoodward @GeminiApp Josh, great work on the rollout speed! However, it is not sufficient for the study process to only do practice tests. Students need more context beyond the simple mistakes they do during a test. There needs to be a tighter feedback loop in the Learning process.
