The hardest thing I’m learning on my mental health hiatus I’m taking is that healing is the journey, not the destination. Even if it’s just one step, it’s still moving forward, despite everything. A lot of days I feel lost, but I’m finding my way.

Zootophia 2 Review (Little Spoilers) Basically, it’s a treasure hunting film,a mix of Indiana Jones and The Bad Guys. What I don’t like: -Unlike the first Zootopia, where the main goal (finding the missing animals) is established clearly from the start, this movie never fully explains the purpose or significance of the treasure hunt early on. It left me wondering why the item mattered so much and why certain characters behaved the way they did. It almost feels like the story was trying too hard to hide the twist. -The villain was very predictable, though that might just be because I’d already seen a lot of fanart. -The movie spends its opening minutes recapping the plot of the first film. I initially thought this would be important to the new story, but it turned out to be mostly irrelevant. -The ending, where the characters reveal their feelings, felt a bit too on-the-nose and overly explanatory. What I like: +I enjoyed how the movie poked fun at reptiles, their weird behaviors and quirky quirks were genuinely entertaining. +We get to see very different environments, from underwater scenes to deserts, which kept the adventure visually fun. +The lynx character is extremely cute, and thank God he has some strong plot armor. +The message of the film is very clear and easy to understand. +Lots of callbacks to the first film +The particle effects and fur simulation look fantastic. Even though it might sound like I have a lot of criticisms, this is still a great movie. I’d give it an 8.5/10.
