Today on the bus, I saw a woman who was clearly pregnant maybe 5-6 months along, she asked a guy for his seat because she looked really unwell and was holding her stomach. He replied “Well, you want equality, you can stand." She immediately threw up on him. And his phone. And the edge of his jacket. The pure shock and disgust on his face was honestly so satisfying 😭😭 (I gave her my seat btw)

Getting home on the #Eurostar has been nothing but stressful today after the trains were cancelled. Massive thanks to a wonderful staff member (Alexandre) at Lille Europe who was able to help my family get on a late train back to the UK tonight so we weren’t stranded 🥹🚂

Mon petit frère, Israël Tambu Kipepe, âgé de 13 ans, a participé à un stage de détection à Châteauroux les 21 et 22 octobre 2024. Pendant ce stage, il a reçu un choc à l’épaule. À son retour, il s’est plaint de douleurs, ce qui a poussé mon père à l’emmener à l’hôpital Jacques Cœur de Bourges . Une radiographie a été réalisée, et le médecin lui a prescrit des médicaments ainsi qu’une attelle. Pourtant, le rapport médical ne mentionnait pas la douleur à l’épaule, un élément pourtant central de sa plainte. Il a suivi son traitement jusqu’au lundi 28 octobre, dernier jour de sa médication. Ce soir-là, vers 20 h 30, mon père l’a mis au lit en lui disant : “La rentrée arrive, il faut que tu sois en forme.” Israël lui a répondu : “Papa, je ne me sens pas bien. Je sens des brûlures dans mon corps.” Alarmé, mon père a réagi immédiatement. Ma petite sœur de 17 ans a pris l’initiative d’appeler le SAMU vers 21 h, redoutant que l’accent de mes parents, trop marqué, ne les discrédite. À l’autre bout du fil, l’opérateur a minimisé la gravité de la situation en répondant : “Nous avons des cas plus graves.” Un rendez-vous avec SOS Médecins a été fixé pour 23 h, mais l’état d’Israël s’est aggravé très rapidement. Une heure plus tard, ma sœur a rappelé le SAMU. Lorsque les secours sont enfin arrivés, Israël était en arrêt cardio-respiratoire. Les tentatives de réanimation ont échoué. Mon petit frère, plein de vie et d’avenir, venait de nous quitter. Quelques jours plus tard, nous avons appris par un article du Berry Républicain qu’une autopsie avait été réalisée le 5 novembre. Pourtant, aucune information ne nous avait été communiquée par les enquêteurs. Nous avons été laissés dans le flou total, ce qui a ajouté à notre douleur et à notre sentiment d’abandon. Selon les résultats de l’autopsie, Israël serait décédé d’une infection pulmonaire. Mais ce diagnostic est incompréhensible. Israël ne présentait aucun symptôme associé à une infection pulmonaire, comme de la toux, de la fièvre ou des difficultés respiratoires. De plus, une infection de ce type aurait dû être visible lors des examens réalisés à l’hôpital Jacques Cœur. Même si Israël avait effectivement souffert d’une infection pulmonaire, celle-ci aurait forcément présenté des signes cliniques détectables. Une radiographie aurait également révélé l’infection. Le fait qu’aucun symptôme n’ait été signalé ni détecté par les médecins renforce notre conviction qu’une grave négligence médicale a eu lieu. Israël était un garçon joyeux, ambitieux et plein de vie. Son décès, évitable, est le résultat d’une série de négligences médicales et institutionnelles. Nous sommes anéantis par cette tragédie, mais nous refusons de laisser cette injustice impunie. La mémoire d’Israël mérite vérité et justice. Je vous en supplie, partagez ! Nous avons besoin de connaître la vérité. Israël mérite une justice !
