𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: The Rams could trade for Vikings standout QB JJ McCarthy and give up a 2026 second-round pick to develop him behind Matthew Stafford, per @RalphVacchiano “The Vikings sure look like they’ve moved on from the former 10th overall pick (2024) by signing Kyler Murray. Given Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell’s success rate with QBs, maybe that’s a red flag for the rest of the NFL,” Vacchiano of FOX Sports wrote. “But McCarthy is still young and has only 10 games of experience. He could benefit from learning under McVay on a loaded offensive team. And not only do the Rams need to start thinking about who their quarterback will be after 38-year-old Matthew Stafford is done, they also have to be prepared if he breaks down this season. Right now their backup is Stetson Bennett. McCarthy would at least be an upgrade over that. And that’s important for an expected Super Bowl contender.” McCarthy would THRIVE under McVay in LA 👀

@theyareaverage @Trevornoah Yeah… They were parents to Gen X first. Millennials act like they were the first ones to discover something when Gen X has been there much longer and are dealing with the same issues. Only Millennials make it about them though, which is telling.

NEW: Oregon QB coach Koa Ka’ai evaluates recruits with a simple question: “Chocolate or vanilla ice cream?” Any hesitation… and coach doesn’t want him. “If you pause on ice cream,” Ka’ai says, “what are you going to do on 3rd down in front of 110,000 fans?” 😳

Naw man. You’re conflating African culture for Black American culture/history. They are not the same. A picture with the Nike checks branded on a Black body, in that manner, is a gross misunderstanding of Black History in the US, and especially its relationship to economic success. As a former Marketing executive at Nike (a US company btw), I think that imagery was done in very bad taste. Completely ignorant of Black American history.

Erika Kirk’s husband was assassinated in September. It’s March & a black comedian is putting on white face & mocking her in a video. Honest question, if a prominent black leader had been assassinated & a white comedian put on blackface & mocked his widow, what would happen?

I agree there is a problem, but saying "education is the ticket for 95% for these kids" is simply not true. I'm a former D1 athlete at a big school from a similar era as you (I'm a little older), and one of the biggest mistakes our generation makes is conflating today's NIL with the ills of college athletics. NIL is NOT the problem. First, the reality is that a degree from a top school will not even guarantee you a job at Walgreens these days. Athletes today aren't dumb or misguided. They are trying to survive in a world they didn't create while being actively denied entry to the workforce. Some of these kids are supporting their parents and/or siblings with their NIL money... Yes, some of the athletes waste their NIL money on flashy things, but many more save/invest it. So, coaches, if they truly cared, would understand that the relationship between in-college and post-college life has dramatically changed, because of a lack of jobs/job security, not NIL. Second, guys like Saban (who clearly have a conflict of interest) should not be held up as principled truth-tellers who "only want the best for college football" when NIL is the first thing out of their mouth in a setting like this. No, the power dynamics have changed, and they want it back. They want to return to the days when they could force kids to stay at a school when they wanted. They might not mind them getting paid, but they don't like it when the pay also gives the athletes the power to treat the schools and the coaches the same way the schools and coaches have treated them for decades. If Saban and others truly wanted things to get better(for the sake of the sport, the school, AND athletes), NIL wouldn't be their target. It would be the NCAA's lack of infrastructure and governance, rampant corporate greed, and basic coaching integrity (e.g., Kiffin, Michigan). These are the true villains here, not NIL.

Guys parroting stuff like this were either coached by horrible humans, or you are woefully misinformed. Nobody is against players getting paid. Education is the ticket for 95% of these kids. I had college coaches in my wedding, I know college coaches by the bedside of sick teammates. Coaches care about their players, stop saying this stupid shit. College football needs structure for the longterm health of the game and its players. 11,000 players in the portal and lots won't ever graduate now. NIL is out of control, guidelines like every other major sport makes perfect sense.
Su’a Kristopher Cravens@SuaKCravens

The hypocrisy coming from Coach Saban is so damn ridiculous it’s sad to see him try to push this agenda smh … Yal don’t care about these kids in the slightest, yal only care about that money and who gets to benefit from it. Plain as day what’s happening here 👎🏽

@speedk1lls @ProFootballTalk So you’re just openly advocating for bad officiating because the correct call was made and it hurt you? A true competitor wants fairness. It shouldn’t matter where the challenge came from. It was the right call.

My cousin asked me for help buying his first car I told him I'm not going to buy him a car but if he saved up enough money to pay for half I'd give him the other half as a gift Why did my aunt blow my phone up angry that I didnt just give it to him because "she knows I have it"
