⚠️Disruption post 26/02 ⚠️ Due to a landslip closing all lines between Reading and London Paddington severe train cancellations are affecting many routes. Due to this our service between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa has been reduced. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 17:00 26/02.

@LeeAndersonMP_ The Post Office Scandal was know several years ago - why wasn’t anything done then? Is it because it is now in the mainstream thanks to ITV? Didn’t the conservatives make compensation for wrongful conviction ext.difficult and not likely to happen ? 16 payments out of 300 claims?

Who Knew What & When? Responding to the new evidence, Tory deputy chairman Lee Anderson told the Express: “I struggle to see how easy it would be to forget that innocent people were convicted of stealing money from the Post Office on his watch. “People like a former constituent of mine who was sent to jail for three years. I'm sure my former constituent won't suffer such a memory lapse and remember this horrific ordeal for the rest of his life. “Instead of dodging scrutiny he should take a trip down memory lane and fully cooperate with the inquiry to explain why he let the Post Office get away scot-free for so long, otherwise he may face calls to resign from squeaky clean Sir Ed Davey.”

As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.

Not only have we halved inflation, but from tomorrow, 27 million working people will receive an NI cut from 12% to 10% - saving an average working person £450 PA. @Conservatives cut taxes, reward hard work and put more money back in the pockets of families in UXSR & beyond.

It still baffles me in this country (UK) that this is forgotten. White Privilege?? 🤣🤣 In Liverpool? In Huyton? Knowsley has the 2nd highest unemployment rate in the country. It has no sixth form provision in the borough. As somebody of Working class/Irish descent, you can either choose to be a victim or choose victory. Don’t complain, just get to work and prove yourself great. With Discipline and Application, almost anything is possible. Fucking victim cards being played everywhere by these Race/Gender Hustlers. I was a confident medic in London. But hearing colleagues make jibes about me here is upsetting. I am in a new country, with new medications, new protocols and I am trying my best. I don’t feel welcomed and quite honestly don’t think I’ll stick this out.

@darrengrimes Because it was taken in August - part of Pakistan Independence Day Celebrations. Police have always been involved in community events. It’s not a protest, nothing to do with Israel/Gaza. Poor ‘journalism’
