@earthcurated I mean…it’s for people too, to be honest. Hitting animals at high speeds is bad for the human and the animal, it turns out.

@Brink_Thinker I love the game, but don’t love this about it. Though I might oversell a foul too after running/sprinting a couple miles without many chances for breaks.
English

@BroberDave I mean, AI could help us make some slick lyrics to tunes we all already know.
English

@BroberDave 💯%, this is the kind of stuff that takes European Football fan ship over the top. This we be so fun to replicate here.

@jlinehan9 @blockhim2026 Spittin’ so much truth, Johnny; loving it.

@blockhim2026 $39 trillion in debt but sure another one would solve everything. Cmon now people… there are so many things we “could” do with $1 trillion, but politicians say and promise these marvelous things and never do any of it.

@juentinqhonston @WestCoastCFB Thinking the same. Just hope they lose to BYU…

@_NateNorman Your child falling asleep next to you
Your children genuinely loving each other
Waking up to sunlight coming through the windows

@EvidenceOfFaith The more I’m on this app the more I realize I should NEVER pretend to know what other religions believe. Everyone who attempts to explain what my church believes is wrong most of the time. And if I ever present myself as an expert on someone else’s theology, amen to my expertise.

@Brink_Thinker God bless her. I’m always surprised our critical healthcare facilities are routinely run by sleep-deprived people. But I’m grateful for the work they.
English

@LW1307 I will say, those members of my church acted oddly (to be charitable). But, in my experience, that can happen in any church, to be fair. Hopefully we’ll get another chance to be friends. I’d buy you lunch just to hear your other stories.

I will admit, I basically do hate and despise Mormons as a group. It may be less than ideal in terms of Christian charity, I don't wish Mormons specific ill, but I have nothing positive to say about them.
I cannot say, "Mormonism is wrong, but their people are so nice."
When I was in undergrad I struck up a bit of a friendship with a professor who turned out to be Mormon. I had an interest in survival preparation. He mentioned that LDS store 12+ months of canned/preserved food in their homes and that they have programs through their wards. We got to talking, towards the end of the semester I asked, "can I put an order in through your ward for about $1,000 worth of stuff? Obviously I'll pay, I don't expect anything for free..."
He said, "Well you're not LDS, so probably not... But let me see..."
A few days later he said, "If you help us with our upcoming bottling and canning drive at the pantry, the ward bishop said we can take and process your order too..."
I spent 8 hours on one day, 8 hours the next day, I even brought my father who worked the same 16 hours... We both worked 16 hours on their canning drive at their pantry warehouse for their ward.
At the end of it, when it was clear we were not interested in joining the LDS, and just wanted them to process our order as originally agreed upon, I was told, "you're not a member, we can't process your order."
I wouldn't trust a Mormon to tell me water is wet.
I don't do business with Mormons, I don't talk with them, I don't consort with them, I don't want anything to do with them in any context.
They are a cult that will act friendly and chummy when they think you might contemplate joining, but when it is clear you are not going to join, they will behave dishonestly and treacherously. This is why they were driven out of every single state they began in and had to flee to Utah.
If somebody tells me they are a Mormon I already know I don't want to know them and I don't want them in my life.

@jlinehan9 Yes, perhaps that’s the start of a beautiful relationship…
The World Cup is what got my dude @dakicker11 into the sport
English

@dakicker11 This is amazing. Mahomes the maestro. Puka the destoyer. LOL

My opinion doesn’t matter, but I think we as Latter Day Saints should try and build as many bridges as we can with other denominations on this app
Disregard what they think we believe, disregard if they label us a cult, disregard if they label us as Christians, disregard the hate, disregard it all.
Respond with verses, respond with humor, respond with lightheartedness. Don’t let it get to you

@ybobbjr For most of his career, Messi was scoring/assisting at a clip 2-3x more than his best competitors (except Christian Renaldo some seasons). In basketball terms, I’ve never heard of a best scorer doubling up the next best scorer. But numbers aren’t everything, of course…
English

@ByuSome Dude, let’s not get into the “[This religion] believes this or that”, please. Way too much of that on X, and so much of it is wrong. I suspect it’s more complicated than “but this Pope said this”, like with our prophets. Let’s let them tell us what they believe, please.

Soaking isn't a thing. It's a myth/joke. Literally nobody does it.
What isn't a myth is Catholics believe it's sinful to ejaculate outside of a vagina. That's right. No handjobs, BJs, pulling out, or condoms.
Enjoy the backfire!
Catholic Space Emperor@catholicspaceem
While we're on the topic of Mormons, ask them about "soaking"
English

@CougarStats Agreed. Anything better than that would legitimately put us in rarified air

There are only 6 P4 teams who won at least 9 regular season games in 4 of their last 5 seasons.
5 - Oregon, Georgia, Ohio St., Alabama
4 - Michigan, Ole Miss
Only 12 have done it in 3 of the last 5. Don't ever treat a 9-3 season (or better) as a failure.
CougarStats@CougarStats
I don't know on which planet BYU going 9-3 as a member of a P4 conference would be deemed a failure. The days of steamrolling the WAC or MWC are long over. This is the big time and understanding the BYU's current competitive environment and how their P4 peers fare in that environment is the key to setting appropriate expectations and maintaining long term sanity.

The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
English

@chrishardman Another thought on this: most “knowledge” is at best useless and often harmful without the full context, which is rarely provided and never found without significant effort. i.e., Most human “learning”, outside of experience, is more distraction or detraction than anything.
