@MerriamWebster @TweetShaming21 Despite being American born and bred, I often use British spellings since most of my favorite authors are British. They tend to look better too. Cancelled > canceled Travelled > traveled Grey > gray The exception is their use of "our" in things like armor. That's just silly!

I've been spelling the past tense of "cancel" as "cancelled" all my life. That's how I learned it. But lately, every spell-checker wants me to use it with just one "l" - "canceled". I clearly see @MerriamWebster shows both acceptable, but I'll remain in the double-l camp.

@brian_armstrong Why didn't you have a skilled team of technical employees who could very easily fix an issue like total reliance on a single data zone? Oh that's right...

We experienced an outage at Coinbase last night, which is never acceptable. The root cause was a room overheating in an AWS datacenter when multiple chillers failed. We design our services to be redundant to downtime in any one AWS Availability Zone (AZ), and most of our systems worked this way last night, but not all. Our centralized exchange did not. Exchanges have unique architectures that optimize for latency and co-location of clients. It is possible to make exchanges resistant to AZ failures, but this can introduce latency delays that are not desirable along with breaking customer co-location. Given this incident, we'll revisit these tradeoffs to ensure we're giving you the best possible venue to trade. At a minimum, the duration of an outage should be able to be reduced considerably when an AZ move is needed. Thank you to the AWS and Coinbase teams for working through the night to mitigate the issue. We’ll share the detailed technical summary once it's ready.

@LarryBundyJr Dragon Age 2 was a massive downgrade in pretty much every area compared to Dragon Age Origins.

Can anyone think of any game sequels that were remarkably WORSE than the original? Usually the sequel is the original game perfected, and the third, while good, isn't quite as great as the second.

@Knucklebreak @SpawnYaardReply Great point. Especially on PC you can find a lot of cheap 3rd party stuff so that makes the price seem even higher (unless you actually take the time to consider the features)

PS edge controller - $200 Xbox Elite controller - $200 Steam Pro Controller with more features than the other 2 is $100 and we still have people complaining it's expensive.

@SpawnYaardReply I think the problem is two-fold 1) Average users are comparing the price against the cheaper base Xbox & PS controllers 2) Everyone hoping Valve is going to have aggressive pricing with this 2nd attempt on Steam Machines. But high controller price might mean high hardware price
