The 2nd Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit will take place from 12-14 May 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Hosted by @ADPIC_ae, the event gathers global infrastructure and urban development experts, accelerating the delivery of a resilient, sustainable and people-centred cities.

معالي الدكتور عبد الخالق عبد الله، الأكاديمي الإماراتي المتميز وأستاذ العلوم السياسية، جسّد في حواره الأخير على بودكاست "الحل ايه" نموذج المثقف العربي الواعي والمسؤول. كمثقف عربي أسترالي معتز بمصريتي وحريص وممتن لدور الإمارات ووقفتها مع مصر في احلك الظروف أخجلني وهالني انحدار المحاورة الدكتورة إلى أسلوب شعبوي غوغائي مليء بالسرديات القديمة والمزايدات الوطنية والنعرات التي لا تخدم سوى إثارة العواطف على حساب الحقيقة والمنطق. ما أثار إعجابي أكثر هو لباقة الدكتور عبد الخالق وحكمته وصبره الجميل، وعدم انجراره إلى هذا الأسلوب الفج. لقد أظهر يقيناً عميقاً بتقدم الإمارات الحبيبة كقوة اقتصادية عالمية وحصن للإسلام المعتدل وداعم للاستقرار الإقليمي، مقابل إنكار واقعي وتفاخر بالماضي وتعالٍ فارغ يذكّر بدور الفنان احمد مظهر في فيلم “الأيدي الناعمة”. الإمارات اختارت طريق السلام والتعاون البراغماتي، ودعمت مصر بقوة في أحلك ظروفها حين تخلّت عنها قوى إقليمية ودولية. وما يضير مصر أن يعترف رئيسها المحترم عفيف اللسان بهذا الفضل؟ شكراً جزيلاً لمعالي الدكتور على أخلاقه الرفيعة واتزانه، فهو خير سفير لروح الإمارات الراقية التي تتقدم بالعقل والعمل لا بالشعارات. تحية تقدير وإعزاز له.

معالي الدكتور عبد الخالق عبد الله، الأكاديمي الإماراتي القدير والخلوق، 🇦🇪❤️أستاذ العلوم السياسية المتميز، الذي يجسد في شخصيته وخطابه نموذجًا راقيًا للمثقف العربي الواعي والمسؤول. كمثقف عربي أسترالي أعتز بأصولي المصرية، إذ أخجلني وهالني ما سمعته في ذلك الحوار من شخص كنت أفترض أن يكون على مستوى المسؤولية المهنية كمحاضرة وباحثة مثقفة. فقد شهدت انحدارًا إلى حوار شعبوي غوغائي، يعتمد سرديات قديمة عبثية ظننا أنها ذهبت مع جيل أكبر بكثير، مليئة بالمزايدات الوطنية والنعرات التي لا تخدم إلا إثارة الغوغاء وجلب الإعجابات والمشاركات على حساب الحقيقة والمنطق. وما أخجلني أكثر بكثير هو لباقة معالي الدكتور عبد الخالق وحكمته وصبره الذي هو أهل له، وعدم انجراره إلى هذا الأسلوب التجاري الفج المصمم خصيصًا لإثارة العواطف والنعرات. لقد أظهر يقينًا عميقًا بأن هذه الأصوات الناعقة بسرديات تنافي واقع مشكلات مصر الحقيقية، وتذهب إلى البكاء على الأطلال والتفاخر بما قد كان، مع بعض نبرات التعالي التي تذكرنا بالنجم الراحل أحمد مظهر في دور النبيل السابق الذي يبيع نياشينه ليشتري أكواز الذرة، ويرفض الاعتراف بتغير الزمن في فيلم “الأيدي الناعمة" هذا الإنكار الفج لتقدم الأشقاء في الإمارات الحبيبة، وبروز دورهم البارز كقوة دافعة للاقتصاد العالمي، وكحصن حصين للإسلام السمح المعتدل أمام طيور الظلام من التيارات والتنظيمات المتطرفة، وداعم رئيسي للاستقرار في المنطقة، يعكس عدم قدرة على مواجهة الواقع المعاصر. كما تكررت الافتراءات الإعلامية التي تزايد على مواقف الإمارات السيادية، والتي لم تختلف في جوهرها عن سياسات كل الدول التي تقيم جسور التواصل والتعاون شرقًا وغربًا لتحقيق مصالحها الوطنية، وتسعى جاهدة إلى تأمين حركة التجارة والملاحة في الشرايين العالمية شرقًا عبر مضيق هرمز مع آسيا، وغربًا عبر مضيق باب المندب مع أفريقيا وأوروبا. لقد رسخت الإمارات اختيار السلام ورفض العنف كسبيل وحيد لا يقبل التجزئة في تعاملها مع القضية الفلسطينية، واضعة أمن واستقرار الشعب الفلسطيني قبل أي أيديولوجيات أثبتت فشلها وتاجرت بالقضية. وها نحن نرى الدليل اليوم، منذ نهاية شهر فبراير، على ارتباط بعض هذه التنظيمات بعمالة للنظام الإيراني الغاشم، الذي لم يستهدف يومًا إلا زعزعة استقرار وأمن المنطقة وتخريب السلم الأهلي فيها. أما في سياق مصر، موطن صاحبة البودكاست، فما العيب وما يضير مصر أن يعترف رئيسها المحترم بفضل الإمارات ودول مجلس التعاون في الوقوف إلى جانبها في أحلك ظروفها؟ أليست هذه حقيقة لا تقبل الجحود؟ لقد دعمت الإمارات مصر حين تم عزلها وتجاهلها من أمريكا وأوروبا، بل وشنت عليها حرب إعلامية من بعض بلدان شقيقة وقوى إقليمية، وكان المسعى تقويض ما تبقى من مؤسسات الدولة التي أنهكتها فوضى الربيع العربي. الدرس الذي نراه اليوم من إيران هو ما أبت الإمارات الحبيبة أن تراه في مصر: أن تكون أسيرة لنظام عقائدي يشكل حكومة مدنية هيكلية ونظامًا موازيًا له مرشد أعلى وحرس ثوري عقائدي هو الآمر الناهي، وصفة لا تنتهي إلا بتدمير مقدرات الدولة ومستقبل أبنائها لتحقيق أهداف محدودة لجماعات تصدير الفكر العدواني. شكرًا جزيلًا لمعالي الدكتور عبد الخالق على صبره الجميل وعدم أخذه مصر والمصريين بما فعل وقال السفهاء منا، من نبلاء المقاهي وفرسان طواحين الهواء. إن لباقته واتزانه في ذلك الحوار يمثلان درسًا في الأخلاق والحكمة، ويجسدان روح الإمارات الراقية التي تتقدم بالعقل والعمل لا بالشعارات والمزايدات. تحية تقدير وإعزاز لك، معالي الدكتور، فأنت خير سفير لوطنك وللعقلانية العربية.

Here is what I'm actually hearing — and what it means before Friday's deadline. 🔴 With Friday's deadline approaching, the five-day diplomatic window Trump opened for what he called a negotiating push, here is where I think we actually stand. The window is more a temperature-taking exercise than a breakthrough. Its real purpose is to determine whether the new leadership in Tehran is willing to make the kind of concessions to earn Israel and the GCC endorsement of whatever deal emerges. ➡️ Nothing I heard in Washington suggests they are. 🔴 The structural gap has not moved. Washington wants zero enrichment as the end state. Tehran insists enrichment is an inalienable right. That was the impasse before the bombs fell. Bombardment has not dissolved it, and if anything, it has hardened it into a matter of civilizational dignity for the Iranian side. In this regard, watch what Tehran does, not what it says. Ali Larijani, was replaced as Security Council head by Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr, a hardline IRGC veteran whose entire career was built inside the revolutionary security apparatus. The United States wants a deal for economic and political reasons (oil prices, markets, and Trump's consuming need to declare victory, mid term elections calculus). Israel wants to continue until structural elimination is achieved, as a frozen Iran is, from Tel Aviv's perspective, a threat merely postponed. Similarly, the GCC countries want permanent degradation, not a temporary freeze that leaves Iran with enough capacity to reconstitute its missiles program and sustain its leverage over strait of Hormuz. Iran, meanwhile, is negotiating survival, not surrender, and specifically, the right to reconstitute. ➡️ These four sets of interests do not overlap, and this ia a structural problem. 🔴🔴 Friday will tell us something. But I would not mistake what it tells us for a resolution.
