During the @HighPasm closure conference, a student poster session was organised. 3 best poster prizes were offered to:  1-Ioanna Zafiri from Kikko Lyceum Pahos: Investigation of the Middle Miocene Ichthyofauna of Alassa & Paleoenvironmental Reconstruction.

A 3rd event at the closure conference: the scientific workshop on 9th of May. Talks on climate change in Cyprus linked to many aspects (e.g. biodiversity, geology, malaria, air pollution, water ressources, temperature trends) were given by 7 scientists from #🇫🇷, #🇳🇱 , #🇱🇧& #🇨🇾 !

On 8th May, a panel talk animated by @NehmeCarole gathered M. Charalampos Theopemptou MP of Cyprus @cygreens, Dr Nicolas Jarraud @GWPnews, Dr Georges Zittis, Climatologist @CyprusInstitute & Pr Salih Gucel, Ecologist to discuss: Climate Change & Adaptation of the Cypriot Society.

A press conference to conclude the ANR HIGH-PASM project was held @Uni_of_Nicosia . Many results & outcome of this research on climate & historical data will be published soon!!

A closing conferance for the project is happening on 8 and 9 may at the University of Nicosia. Program 👉

couldn’t make it this year to #EGU24 & present results on @HighPasm @AgenceRecherche project. Today, our workshop in @univrouen aims to discuss human&climate interaction in Cyprus @Uni_of_Nicosia for the last 700y with cypriot colleagues. Next results are to be presented in 2025!

It is good to pinpoint the start of a project funded by @univrouen with a PhD student working on palaeoenv. Records in high altitudes areas of Lebanon & Cyprus. Here the team started to work on Qammoua Polje, North Lebanon. Great Day!
