Walked into PureGym at 11am on a Tuesday last week. It was packed. Every treadmill taken. Queue for the squat rack. Lads in their 20s and 30s mid-set in the middle of a working day. Apparently inflation increased to 3.3% in March. Yet food prices are soaring exponentially. A tin of sardines in Waitrose - previousy priced at 60p is now £1. You don't have to be a mathematical genius to work out that the price has risen more than 3.3%.

Why does the Premier League always seem to give Man City a game in hand in the final five matches? We saw it vs Leicester in 2019, Crystal Palace in 2022, Tottenham in 2024, and now again vs Burnley and Palace. Last season, when they weren’t in the title race, they didn’t have a game in hand.
