@ProfRausch @GaryAckermanPhD Great place to start convo abt why and what to do so people can make changes who don’t know. I don’t know, but my guess is that the speaker could orally describe what the graphics have going on in them (just like alt text), or the text could be too small on the screen.

What is the proper reaction when the speaker on DEI has slides with text and graphics with inaccessible text and graphics?

@vijisathy If memory serves me correctly, once an adjunct taught for more than 5 years at a school I worked at in San Diego, they called them an associate professor.

I should add that this is for examining policies and procedures across the system for faculty on these lines. My preference is for Professor in nearly all contexts, but this particular one requires a distinction.

@iLearnNow When my pet returned from cremation, I was so relieved I took him to my partner’s work so we could celebrate his return together. Security wanted to know what was in the box - My dog. What kind of dog is that small? - A Lab. In a box? He thought I was crazy. He just didn’t know.

I brought his ashes under my desk to my last online PD session. Luke always slept under my desk when I facilitated online PD. I miss his fur on my toes. Yet I realize COVID was the best thing for him. I never had to leave to work. 🐾🌈

@annehelen When my son graduated from high school, I sent his preschool teachers a thank you note and a graduation announcement thanking them for being his first school teachers.

The mom of the little toddler I nannied back in the early 2000s emailed me today to tell me she's been following my work for years — and sent me a picture of that little toddler, now finishing up his freshman year in college. Do this for your past and future caregivers!!!!
