@_TyAnderson This person’s logic doesn’t pass the tried and true of what do my eyes tell me… the drafts picks aren’t here because they didn’t pan out.

You can show me every chart and every graph in the world, and I'm still not going to change my stance. They still got one player over a four-draft span. Half of their draft picks went outright unsigned to a pro contract. That's simply not good enough. Point blank.
Dan Rogers@doctorogres

@_TyAnderson Because draft position is a thing and the drop-off is exponential. Bruins had a total pick value of 49.22 during those three years, it's disingenuous to compare their drafting to Florida (121.16) or Carolina (187.46). Like sure, I could be rich if I hit on my scratch tickets.

Spring of Taylor Hall continues. Feel like his time in Boston gets a meh wrap but he was solid. Hell he had 8 points in 7 games against Florida the year they got upset. 3rd on the team behind Marchand and Bertuzzi (10 each). Hall had 17 pts in 25 playoff games in BOS fwiw.

@ClayTravis @nytimes They are robbing Americans blind. If the US produces that much oil there’s no reason for gas prices to be as high as they are

US oil companies have made nearly $50 billion in additional profits since the Iran war started, benefiting more than any country in the world. I’m surprised how few people know this. The US is now the biggest oil and gas exporter in the world. (Graphic via @nytimes).

We’re fewer than six weeks away from the 250th Anniversary of the USA but you’d never know it walking around Boston. Haven’t seen anything on city/state/fed property. I was very young for Bicentennial but do remember you couldn’t go a day or move a foot in the Cradle of Liberty without a reminder of our nation’s upcoming 200th birthday. Which was apropos. Today? You’d have no clue that 🇺🇸’s 250th is weeks away while walking around Downtown Boston.

Kamala is going to be the nominee. The more Gavin Newsom talks the less people like him. If he were a black woman that wouldn’t matter, but Newsom has no base. He and Mayor Pete will battle for the white wine moms. Shapiro is Jewish and done. It’s going to be Kamala.

Northwestern beats North Carolina 14-11 for its ninth women’s lacrosse national championship. It is the first time in 40 years a D-I women’s lacrosse team won a national title at home. NU's Gabriella McCollester had 4 goals. Madison Taylor had the final goal and 6 assists.

@TMZ_Sports @TMZ Honest question here. What if Braxton doesn’t even wanna race, or good enough to race NASCAR? I genuinely do not know about his kids dreams or aspirations in life. I hope he does though. Pressuring an 11-year-olds future is pretty weird.

BREAKING: Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey spoke publicly for the first time about the #25Investigates probe into overtime reporting discrepancies at a MassDOT highway maintenance depot. The story first aired on #Boston25 Tuesday evening. Here is the verbatim transcript: Governor Healey: "Look, I'm outraged. I mean, look—any time somebody is ripping off the public, ripping off taxpayers, I am outraged. I hope whatever the investigation yields, know that they're going to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." Question: "Do you believe higher-ups were complicit in this, or were they just asleep at the switch?" Governor Healey: "Don't know enough yet. But I have directed Secretary Gulliver (Transportation Undersecretary) to get to the bottom of all of this. And, you know, I have zero tolerance for this. As a former attorney general, I prosecuted cases of fraud, including against public employees. And I'll make sure that happens now. If people are screwing around—they're not at work, they're not where they're supposed to be—it's outrageous. I work with people across state government, local government, and federal government who show up every day and do their jobs and work really hard. And that's what the public deserves. That's what the public expects. But boy, when I saw that, I went through the roof. And so, yeah... I'm sure people will lose their jobs. And I'm [sure] that people will face some criminal investigations and prosecutions."

So let me get this straight…employees sign timecards “under penalty of perjury,” supervisors certify them, taxpayers fund it all… and apparently nobody noticed people leaving 3–5 HOURS early or claiming they are working 18-hour days until the MEDIA started watching? The Massachusetts government only seems to find problems after reporters or lawsuits expose them. Imagine what a real audit might uncover. 👀 #wheresouraudit #mapoli @AnneBrensleyMA @massauditor @MikeMinogueABMD @DeatonforSenate 🙌🏼 @TedDanielnews
Ted Daniel@TedDanielnews

These are the questions I sent MassDOT one week ago. I requested an interview with the Secretary of Transportation in hopes of asking these in person but the request was denied.  1. What "checks and balances" exist to ensure that timecards, signed under the penalty of perjury, match the physical presence of employees at their job sites?   2. Why did it require external surveillance by a news organization to identify consistent 3-to-5-hour gaps between payroll filings and actual staff departures?   3. Has anyone at MassDOT ever questioned the physical well-being and/or safety of employees who operate heavy equipment “working” a full overnight shift, a full overtime day shift, and 2 more additional OT hours before their next full overnight shift begins? That would be 18 hours of work in a 24-hour period.   4.What is the protocol for supervisors who certify these timecards?   5. How will MassDOT address this issue?   MassDOT’s response: “MassDOT takes any allegation of improperly reporting time worked extremely seriously. Not only do we expect all employees to accurately report time worked and supervisors to properly review and certify time records — it’s the law. We have launched an investigation into this matter and placed these employees on administrative leave. If anyone is found to have been intentionally misreporting their time or misusing taxpayer dollars, they will be held accountable.”

The Indiana Fever announcing Caitlin Clark is out an hour & a half before game time is unacceptable… Worst part: This is all part of a “strategic management plan for the season”, so they knew she wouldn’t play. It’s a slap in the face to fans that bought tickets & a clear violation of the WNBA’s injury reporting.
