@benonwine Comedians have styles. Nowadays you get a lot of the same. She is the best in that style. I have never seen or heard any other comedian with that style and approach. It is refreshing to see. Something totally different. Are you telling me she isnt hilarious?

@Kathari17674744 @_ConnieShaw Who the fuck knows, apart from their mom of course.

@TonyLaneNV Remember when the last rows were for smokers? They should make those rows of the plane for kids with their moms/dads, then sweep a thick curtain across. So the rest of us without kids can nanny nap. 😉

NEW: A Brazilian woman refused to give up the window seat she PAID for to a crying child… went viral… got blasted online… and now she’s SUING the airline and the passenger who filmed her.
She says the backlash ruined her mental health and career.
Be honest — should she be allowed to sue?
Would you give up your assigned seat to a crying child?
Thoughts? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

@zarahsultana @DavidLammy @Prisoners4Pal Zara - WHY do you think they remove insulin from someone who doesn’t eat? Because Insulin works WITH food to manage glucose. You Dimwit.

@iceman_TOF @GMB Multiple births are not included in the cap for the first two deliveries.
English

@GMB Problem is with the cap
What if and it happens a parent gives birth to say triplets or quads or more in rarer cases only 2 get help to feed.
What about the other 1-2

@JimDodgy @akafaceUS The car stopped because the van pulled in front of him, the cyclist was on his bumper, he should have made sure there was plenty of stopping space by slowing down.
English

@akafaceUS Two faults happened.
1. The driver cut up the cyclist.
2. The cyclist needlessly stayed on the car’s bumper. He had plenty of opportunity to back off and create a gap, so he was 100% responsible for the collision.

An investigation by @DurhamPolice, in collaboration with the @RSPCA_official, is underway after footage was circulated online showing a huntsman repeatedly striking a horse over the head with a riding crop.
The incident took place in Foxton, near Sedgefield, County Durham, on Saturday, November 8, and the huntsman has been identified in reports as RICHARD SMITH of the South Durham Hunt.

@beccarala @BorisJohnson How can anyone say 23,000 deaths would have been avoidable, it’s impossible to know that with 💯% certainty.
English

@BorisJohnson You presided over 23,000 avoidable deaths and this is how you respond ? There would have been about 23,000 fewer deaths in England during the first wave of COVID-19 if the UK Government had imposed lockdown a week earlier… thedoctor.bma.org.uk/articles/healt…
English

On Covid there are two big questions: Where did the virus come from - and were the lockdowns worth the terrible price we paid? Baroness Hallett's hopelessly incoherent £200m inquiry failed to answer either

@AVGirl4Life Yes, hand them the cost to clean up and damages. They’ll soon stop taking them shopping.

@Frannymae76 @BuzzingPop She doesn’t and never has claimed to be a perfect mother, to be fair she’s not been allowed to see THEIR children. Ask yourself why the book? why now? Anything to do with the half million dollars gravy train no longer coming his way? He’s a douche bag.

Victoria’s Secret is dead in the water. Nobody wants to see men in lingerie and guess what-the pants don’t fool us. We know what he is hiding. Disgusting filth, disrespecting and disparaging the very women your brand was allegedly built for. There isn’t a single reason to support this company. The fabric contributes to hormone issues in women and now they’re funding the delusional ideaology that is erasing women and making our spaces less safe.

English

@jfoster2019 @sharrond62 Make that make sense. I disagree with her narrative. I witness the harm her attitude towards young people moving in to sport has had. So how is that appalling.
English

All I can tell you is when I was fighting (& no one wanted to help) to get fair sport back for our girls this woman took all my calls no matter where she was in the world & as trade sec she was never home. She was stopped from doing all she wanted, whilst in government, but she never stopped trying. I believe her & I know she’ll try to do what’s right not what’s easy.

Rest in peace, Patricia Routledge 🙏🏻
In memory of her, I encourage everyone to read these words of hers from February last year.
Whether young or old, you're bound to get something out of it.

"I’ll be turning 95 this coming Monday. In my younger years, I was often filled with worry — worry that I wasn’t quite good enough, that no one would cast me again, that I wouldn’t live up to my mother’s hopes. But these days begin in peace, and end in gratitude.
My life didn’t quite take shape until my forties. I had worked steadily — on provincial stages, in radio plays, in West End productions — but I often felt adrift, as though I was searching for a home within myself that I hadn’t quite found.
At 50, I accepted a television role that many would later associate me with — Hyacinth Bucket, of Keeping Up Appearances. I thought it would be a small part in a little series. I never imagined that it would take me into people’s living rooms and hearts around the world. And truthfully, that role taught me to accept my own quirks. It healed something in me.
At 60, I began learning Italian — not for work, but so I could sing opera in its native language. I also learned how to live alone without feeling lonely. I read poetry aloud each evening, not to perfect my diction, but to quiet my soul.
At 70, I returned to the Shakespearean stage — something I once believed I had aged out of. But this time, I had nothing to prove. I stood on those boards with stillness, and audiences felt that. I was no longer performing. I was simply being.
At 80, I took up watercolour painting. I painted flowers from my garden, old hats from my youth, and faces I remembered from the London Underground. Each painting was a quiet memory made visible.
Now, at 95, I write letters by hand. I’m learning to bake rye bread. I still breathe deeply every morning. I still adore laughter — though I no longer try to make anyone laugh. I love the quiet more than ever.
I’m writing this to tell you something simple:
Growing older is not the closing act. It can be the most exquisite chapter — if you let yourself bloom again.
Let these years ahead be your TREASURE YEARS.
You don’t need to be famous. You don’t need to be flawless.
You only need to show up — fully — for the life that is still yours.
With love and gentleness,
Patricia Routledge

Once more, rest in peace. 🤍

@accord_gen @CollinRugg Whilst I don’t think it’s appropriate, If this version is sang to all kids on their birthday I don’t see a problem, the mother just made her son think he looks and smells like a monkey. A word in private at the school would suffice, if not then escalate it.
English

@CollinRugg I've never heard of a version of Happy Birthday that has those lyrics. Teachers should be mature enough to know how something like this would be perceived. All those defending the teacher are defending soft racism.
English

NEW: Florida mom fumes and accuses her son's school of being 'racist' after his teacher sang him the "funny birthday song."
The elementary school has since launched an investigation after Desarae Prather said her son's teacher was being "racist" to him.
The lyrics in question are from a version of the Happy Birthday song that says, "you look like a monkey."
Prather is demanding an apology and says she took her son out of the school. She will be sending him to a different school.
This song was sung at every birthday party I went to growing up.
English

@TheNameIsBondss @Matt_Pinner Yes, I would. It’s their choice and we should respect their decision, I’d rather have a happy kid who chose his path than an unhappy kid who was forced down a path that I chose.
English

@Matt_Pinner No. There is power in networking and there is no powerful network at trade schools.
Colleges = large wealth hubs that provide job opportunities + career advancement through connections
You CAN put a price on it, millions in future value.
Wage comparison = incomplete analysis.

@AnthonySabatini Freaks me out “praise to be god” ffs, sounds like a line from Handmaids Tail. Your wife protected that baby and delivered him safely.
