Not much different here.
Here we have private companies, which pretty much function of government's contracts, like most of the military industrial complex, for example. Big Pharma, and large hospital chains is also very close to the same. They rely on the Medicare payments, etc.
Very similar, on the smaller scale, State level.
So, on its face it may appear different here, but upon closer examination it is not.

It works because it is NOT a socialist system.
China is a free market capitalism, with one communist party in charge ( kind of communist, not really, just in the name only )
But US is a free market imperialism, with one Zionist party in charge.
That is the only main difference, and is why nothing works here now.

Liberal Zionists, and I speak as one who has retired, need to face up to the fact that the Israeli government has purposely destroyed any hope of a two-state solution and is pursuing a second Nakba instead. This is what the word "Zionism" means today, in the real world.
