@LBrookePowers Grrr. That is disappointing. Letter of the law just creates frustration for all parties. A simple solution could’ve been a short explanation of how the two differ and when and why Pi would be preferred over the approximation. I would love to facilitate that discussion with Ss.

So to update you all on the whole 3.14 vs pi test thing..."he should have known to use 3.14" and can retake it but will only take the average of the two grades. I'm trying hard to give grace but wow. #MTBoS

@LBrookePowers I have made so many mistakes when creating something in Desmos, Canvas, or Google forms. The kids have been wonderful. I have started giving mini rewards if they find my error. It has also given many kids purpose in analyzing their errors. They have been so gracious and helpful

Hey #mtbos and other math friends...help a mom out. Let's say on a math test some of the questions say use 3.14 for pi and others don't include that direction. Your kid uses the pi button for the ones that don't include the direction and fails the test as a result. WWYD?

@CleverTitleTK @ajm6792 There are varying levels of acceptance among the group but many of them get together each year for a reunion. They even have a T-shirt 😂 yep, those are sperm. The doctor passed away a long time ago so there are lots of unknowns but overall it’s quite a story.
