@DM_Draco In the case of the game I ran, it went in direction that ended up too far from the original idea, so we introduced timey-wimey nonsense to put it back on track. In the case in which I was a player, we rebooted the game completely but kept our characters. Like an AU situation.

Best guess: Twitter tried to do something stupid with their API, they messed it up in a way that will take days, so Elon is doing this new “you can only read 600 posts a day” thing as a cover, and he’ll say “after hearing your feedback, we’ve reversed the policy” when it’s fixed.

ok, let's do something fun. I want to know what your FAVORITE actual play shows are. the catch? you can't put critical role, dimension 20, naddpod, or taz. they're great shows, but I want to see what else everyone is listening to/watching.

@rdonoghue But often it's just a reminder of how far they've come and how big they've gotten. I whole campaign like that though? I think that'd wear thin for everyone eventually, unless the game was *really* about relationships, and... well, there are better systems than D&D for that. ;)

@rdonoghue I've been inserting stuff like this into D&D games as a matter of course for decades. Sometimes, there's some broader concern at play. "Yes, you could single-handedly annihilate this whole thieves guild, but it does play a role in this city, and what would take it's place?"

I was looking at the RPG comics bundle on humble bundle - humblebundle.com/books/fantasy-… - and Skullkickers got me thinking a bit about what we expect in protagonists, and I am now thinking of what happens if actually just run an overpowered D&D game.
