@MiraLunaMocha If you wish to remove the lines at the edges of your pixelation effect, calculate the ddx ddy values for the uv coordinates before pixelation is applied (since ddx ddy need to be continuous to be correct, which in pixelation its sampling 1x1 on the jumps)

The main problem of this approach, that it uses a single vector field. So, basically, you can't intersect shadows. But what if we use something similar to MSDF, but for SH... Multilayered Mono SH data. But I have no idea how to calculate it.
